She is so sick of hearing about Mustangs now when I talk about it all she does is shut me up and say "ring". :bang: That is she thinks that I'm prioritizing the new car over her engagement ring. Little does she know as soon as I sell my current car I'm going to buy her one. I guess after 7 years I had this comming.

Anybody else getting grief about talking about the new Mustang all the time?

My wife loves the Mustang but she is tired of hearing about. I spend alot of time on this sight and I'm always saying "look at this" or "look at that". I think once I get my car I probably wont drive her as crazy as I do now.

Before my wife and I got married, I asked her if she would have a problem with me buying a motorcycle. She said "not as long as you buy one for me, too." She has mellowed somewhat, but understands that I will always be passionate about vehicles. She doesn't want to talk about mustangs all the time, but since I found this forum, I don't talk as much about them to her, anyway.

Yes, you are VERY lucky! I love my wife but would consider trading
her for a babe that loves cars like i do... She's always telling
me "that's all you talk about". Sorry, but I don't dwell on what drapes
would look best in the living room or what color should we paint the kitchen.
Not that it doesn't interest me at all but I'm usually thinking, hhhmmm, it's been almost 3 days since i last washed the car...what wax should i use next?

The thing is even AFTER I got the car, it did not get any better. I am still visititing the site daily to see what others have done. My boyfriend thinks I am Mustang obsessed and he could car less about them. He says its just a car. .......not

I am the opposite.
My husband is sick of hearing about mustangs.
He said he bought me one to shut me up. BUT that it didn't work too well.

Hes not a mustang guy. Something in his genes must be misfiring.....

Great thread, Dustin! My close friends understand me better and give me slack. I tend to get obsessive over cars, so they expect to hear updates, progress reports, etc. Very often, the "Mustang program" will be running in the background like a subroutine, just waiting for someone to "click on" the file and open it up.

The funny thing is, a lot of people I work with ask me about the car and it's status. Naturally, I don't have any trouble chatting about it. Most of my coworkers keep their cars for years, while I tend to change them every couple of years. I think they like the fact that I do. Gives us something to talk about other than work!

yeah, my wife thinks I'm "nuts" for getting a Mustang! She believes Ford's are crap (her dad had a bad experience with his Crown Vic)..but she concedes- "it's your car,do what you want...but I think you should get a Corvette!"

My wife is a GM fan. At the same time though, she didn't like my Camaro when I first got it, either. She warmed up to it though as the most power she had before was a 4 banger.

I'm sure she'll warm up to this car, too.

My wife gave me alot of grief about it too. So I took her to the dealership and showed her one. Now she just ask, is the GT here yet, is the GT here yet? When is the build date? Have you called and check on your car today? What did they say? When is it supposed to be here? Why is it taking so long?

I have the same problem. Of course on the plus side she likes the car a lot. She's just tired of hearing about it and knows theres atleast another one to two months before it's over and I have the car.

Let's see . . .I must have it pretty good.

My Fiancee told me I should purchase my Mustang. And then she went and bought me rims/tires for an engagement present.

yep I have it good too since my wife wanted me to buy the Mustang as well.
Now she has the "bug" of showing it off too. She loves when I send her pictures and links of new things for the Mustang. I make sure I get her stamp of approveal before doing anything of course..
