Just curious if anyone has burned and tested the WMA file format on their Shaker 1000 systems. This would be a big factor in my decision on whether or not to get the Shaker 1000 and which online music store I go with .

I would hope they had the foresite to make it compatible with more then the MP3... Seeing as the format is going the way of the dinosaur. Of the current music stores that sell downloadable tracks only 4 of them sell MP3 format anymore (Live Downloads, eMusic, Bleep, Audio Lunchbox). Everyone else sells WMA (MSN, Napster, WalMart, BuyMusic, Music Rebellion, Streamwaves, Musicmatch, RealRaphsody) and AAC/RAC (iTunes, Real Player).

After dropping $13.99 on a new album that I just go home, toss the case, rip the CD, and make my own CD's I won't ever buy another CD outside of blank CDR's

Sorry, Ford MP3 CD players are not WMA compatible. WMA is to MP3 what Pepsi is to Coca Cola. Same idea, different execution.

Can anyone confirm this? There is no mention of WMA support in the owners manual
