I took my Mustang in today to get the Shaker 1000 changed to revision B and the salesman says "Let me show you something." He takes me back through the service area and there is the car I ordered in November. It just came in yesterday. He told me in February there was a 99% chance the car wouldn't get built. They won't have a problem selling it but I was all set to buy it on X-plan. I bought at MSRP from out of state in February. If I would have known it was going to get built, I would have waited and saved about $2500.

Patience is a virtue but least you have a new Mustang. Obviously you wanted it badly enough to do what you did, so don't look back and don't kick yourself. Just enjoy your ride.

What a d*ckhead dealer. Why go out of his way to rub your face in the fact that you could have gotten what you wanted, saved money, etc.? A nicer person wouldn't even mention it...

Yeah enjoy the stang you have, and consider yourself lucky. These things are extremely hard to come by, especially if you want the options you desire. You got one bro, enjoy it!

... and if you would have waited, by the sounds of it, the dealer would have sold it out from under you for more money. Or Murphy's Law would have kicked in and the car would not have been built.

Enjoy your Stang! There are a lot of members of this forum that wish they WERE in your shoes as they got bucked to the 06 model - and are still waiting, losing sleep, waiting, loosing sleep ....

You saved yourself 4 months of waiting and worrying if the car would get made.

I have a few friends that work at dealerships around here and their dealerships won't give them d-plan on the Stang either.

Don't sweat it dude! You got your car! Saved yourself the worry of not getting it! and I agree that guy was a jerk for rubbing ur face in it.

He problably told you that just so you'd look elsewhere and he could sell yours for MSRP (or more) instead of X-Plan.

There is no use crying over spilled milk, I also must agree you made the best decision with the information you had! It also sounds like your dealer was screwy, i would feel better knowing my money didn't go to him!

I don't regret my decision at all. I do think the dealer honestly didn't believe it was going to get built. I'm loving my Stang and am glad I didn't have to wait until now to have it.
