Doesnt the vert have rear fold down seats?

Edit: I've left my windows down a few times, but only if I'm running in to grab something real quick.

No.

I've left my windows down a couple of times. I've left the top down several times also. It just depends on where I am.

If I can't see my car then it's locked up like a vault. Nothing in the open areas for thieves to get a look at and decide they want it.

Absolutley.
I do it all the time. To me it's kinda like locking the car when I'm at home. I don't see the point. If you set the active alarm you really don't need to have the windows up unless your worried about someone throwing something in your car.

Rain? Snow?

Ironically, my wife and I went to the Home depot earlier this summer.
Windows down, AAT active. We were in the garden center and as we were leaving I heard an alarm sounding. Didn't think much of it until we reached the lot. There was a vette next to the pony with a guy standing there looking like he got caught with his hand in the cookie jar. That he did.
We walk out to the car and he says he loved my car and apologized for setting off the alarm. He wanted to lean in and get a good look at the dash and stuff. He made sure to tell me he didn't touch anything, just popped his head through the window.

I guess it depends on the area that you are in and if your comfortable with the folk that will be passing by your car.

If I had that Carrera I could sell it and buy 16 GT's.

Only a matter of time until someone keys him for parking like that...
If he can afford that car, then it's probably no big deal if someone keys it.just take it in to get fixed and get a Boxster to hold him over..life is rough i'll tell ya

If I'm just running in to a convenient store for coffee or something and my car is right out front I leave my windows down (depending on the area) but if I'm parking and going into a store or something then it's always locked up. Now, when I had my '92 convertible I always left the top down as it's common knowledge that when you see a convertible left with it's top down, there is nothing in it to steal. People leave their tops down all the time around this tri-state area (NY,NJ,CT).

gt5000: Cool Beans! oh wait, that's Oradell

I guess even guys who drive $440,000 cars need screws and nails.

Probably a contractor. I have a relative that clears about 300k a year and he isn't even big time.

Back in my youth we took some Jergins hand lotion and shoved it under the door handles of a truck that parked that way. We then went into a bookstore and watched for the owner to come out. Seeing him try to open his door and jerk his hand back in surprise and disgust was a hoot. I would never do that now but at the time it was hillarious.
Besides, a little Jergins never hurt nobody....?

if top down---windows are always up---unless it is a few minutes stop with the vehicle in sight--------always lock the CDs in the trunk, no cell phone visible---as fara as theft---top up or down will not matter if they really want your car, although i've never hand my car tampered with with the top down, if someone did throw some trash or god forbid a cigarette, it'd be no more top down ever unattended

Hopefully, that's all he got! I don't think there's enough room for anything else in that ride. Not that it matters, I'm sure he could afford to rent one of HD's trucks...

I saw the movie on Monday, and it was pretty good. I really liked the first Transporter. I thought is was a great "sleeper" movie, and the sequal was really good. That Lamborghini in the movie was just . Sad thing was it was crashed in the end . In this movie, there was alot of action, the driving sequences were unreal, and the fight scenes were amazing. Jason Statham is great. Some of the stuff was pretty unbelievable, but I didn't really care. Whenever I go to see an action movie, I just want to be entertained, and this movie was very entertaining. This is why none of these type of movies ever get good reivews. The reveiwers always look for dialogue, or some crap. This is an action movie, not LOTR or some drama. In the end, I'll definitely be buying it on DVD.

I will leave my windows open if I am close to the car or within sight. If I go into home depot, I won't.

I would leave my windows down. I don't worry about these small things in life. What kills me is when someone runs into a drycleaner to pick up clothes, or a coffee shop to grab coffee to go and they lock the doors on the car. That confuses me. Maybe it's out of habit for them. They can watch the car from inside if need be for the two minutes theyr'e away. Why lock it in this situation. I saw a Viper with it's top down in a parking lot once with the keys sitting on the passanger seat. Now I wouldn't go that far, but we do have insurance. I guess I live in a part of town where I trust the people around me.
