Just wondering out loud, will one of us get the last 2005 Mustang?

 

:shock: LOL, well sadly enough, it won't be the me! It's kinda like the lottery. To win, you gotta play! Seeing how I did not order one, I reckon I ain't-a gittin' one...

But the '06 is quite a different story... I'll pony up for THAT competition...

Anyone having a 2005 built after the week of 07//18/05?

When is the last week of the 05's? What is the first week for 2006?

 

I checked with Ford and yours is the last one.

 

Mine might be later than yours. I say might because yesterday I received a phone call from the dealer to tell me that my car was submitted for scheduling. Any idea how long it takes for them to schedule it, heh?

 

If you ordered that late in the north I would guess you are getting an 06, if your in FL, TX or CA the 3 states with the most alocation then a un-likey maybe 05.

I got VERY lucky, I am in Syracuse NY, and I ordered a Sonic Blue GYT mustang back in April 2nd, just last week with I thought all hope was lost I got the call and the VIN # of my soon to be built Mustang . The dealer has been kinda confident that I would make the 05 build and get the Sonic Blue color, I don’t like Vesta and would have canceled the order if I was stuck with the 06 Vesta blue. I don’t have a build date yet, they say I will have one next week. How long does is usually take to get the car built and transported to the dealers ones it’s been serialized? I figure 6weeks?????

I've already sold the "last 05" I will ever own...

 

I ordered January 27. As of this last Saturday, both my salesman and the sales manager say I will get a 2005. Still C/U.

 

I purchased my V6 on January 5, 2005. We feel fortunate, my husband ordered his GT on 5/18/05 (actual DORA Date) received the VIN number a week later and found out Friday that the build date is 6/27/05 and it should be here 1st week of July.

 

What part of the country are you from to get that kind of turn around?

 

Ordered mine in march and still C/U. My salesman tells me there is still hope but I dont have much. If it isnt pulled this Thursday Im gonna tell him to cancel and order this winter. Then it should be in by late next spring.

 

ya know, with my luck the last one will be mine, ordered early Jan., dealer says I might have to get an 06 which would fine except no MG for a color, and more WAITING!...grrrr

 

I think the last week for MY05 is Aug 8th and first week for MY06 is Aug 15th. I may be off by a week though but it is in August.

 

We live in Virginia. We found the one he wanted at another local dealer but they had at $4995.00 "just cause of supply and demand" mark up on it. So I called the salesman that I got mine from and he made it happen somehow. I spoke with him on Friday of last week and everything is as it stands with the dates.

The dealer mentioned that the later in the year you order the quicker the turn around since everyone ordered at the same time when they first came out. Kinda makes since. He told us 6 to 8 weeks total wait time.

He ordered the Performance White, 5spd manual, IUP, Shaker 1000, spoiler, bullet wheels. I have a Legend Lime V6.
