The following text is taken straight out of the "Salesperson Source Book". Nobody would turn off their system for any other reason, would they?

Personal Safety SystemTMSpecificsAll-Speed Traction Control SpecificsSAFETY/SECURITYThis page is about:2005 MustangSafety/SecurityMustangMustang15July 2004All-Speed Traction Control

The driver can turn off All-Speed Traction Control using a dash-mounted switch.
Why would anyone want to turn off their All-Speed Traction Control system?
· To allow excess wheel spin to dig out the vehicle if it's stuck in the snow or on a slippery surface, and to enable a successful "rocking" maneuver· When using tire chains
Remind your customers that once the system is switched Off, it defaults to On
when the vehicle is restarted or when the On/Off button is pressed again.

So long smoky burnouts aren't the reason? I am disappointed.

It is to create a "rocking" motion. The problem is we only "rock" one way.

There....I feel much better now I liked the old one because it symbolized how I feel right now waiting on my car.

Burnouts is the answer but since thats not PC - getting stuck in the snow will suffice

Climbing a icy or snowy hill could be too because with traction control on you have almost no power in that situation. heck, I can floor it in second and the car barely crawl up the hill!

Hey Tom, I like the pooch. Glad you kept him. Too bad you're not down here in Richmond, your car is here at Bill Talley Ford! All except the IUP. It has the neutered version of IUP (just the steering wheel and gearshift). Sweet looking car. Also, it doesn't have the spinners but you could have added them later...

Those wheels look awesome with that color btw.

Chris - Not flaming you here, but I'm not sure what you're talking about with the pooch? Also, I'm not getting spinners....just bullits and putting pony centercaps on.

Sorry about that, Tom. I was only on my 2nd cup of coffee when I posted. It takes 3 to wake me up! For some reason, I got the impression you were getting spinners. Had no idea you were getting pony center caps (they look cool btw). Wish I took a photo of this beauty while I was at the dealership. It really does look a lot like the one you have on order. The salesman was all over me, even though I told him I was working with someone else.

As far as my "pooch" remark, I was referring to the dog head you photoshopped onto your avatar picture. I read that you changed your avatar and then changed it back because someone objected.

LOL No sweat Chris....I've already had my quota of coffee today. I've been at work since 5:30 this morning. I had switched avatars from the dog to a stickman walking around in a square box. I didn't realize someone was already using that one so I found the chimp one I'm using now.
Can't wait to see some movement on my order....allocation shortage at my dealership

When I was stuck in the snow last night, turning the TCS off sure didn't help me lol. The good news is, it only took about an hour to get out of it.

Wish I would have had my camera with me, it was actually pretty funny. A few people stopped to say they liked the car, but didn't help push. Nice of them.

I would have helped. Having been there several times myself, it stinks getting stuck in the snow. A neighbor of mine has a 2002 V6 Mustang with a stick. She got stuck in her driveway and I gave her a hand. Actually, it was pretty cool to drive a V6 with a stick. She really appreciated it and it gave me a good feeling to lend a hand. She parked in the street thereafter, at least for the remainder of the winter!

My ex wife and daughter got stuck once. A guy stopped to push them out and told her to "rock it". She didn't know what he meant so she and my daughter were both sitting there in their seats, rocking back and forth thinking that's what he meant He wasn't amused.
