I hear everyone talking about their orders and VIN numbers. Who thinks they will be the first one to tell us (with pictures to prove it) that they have their 05 Mustang???

 

We shall see I will be sure to be very polite about it

 

My dealer was scheduling mine today... didn't know when the build date would be, but guessed the car would be in his show room in October

I don't care as long as I get mine before Thanksgiving!!! Hopefully I will be one of the first ones out here in southern calif

 

I ordered mine back in June and put $1,000 down. I better find out when I am going to get it from the dealer by the end of September or I am going to rethink my purchase decision. My second choice was a RX8.

Be calm grasshopper, all will be well. That kinda sounds funny. I'm sure the Mustang will make you happy. Besides, the RX-8 is already out, if you really wanted to not wait, you'd have the RX-8 already.

I was thinking the same thing!!!

Either that or it was go all out for a 350Z........but at the same time, I would have said it, but not gone through with it.

I've been dreaming way to long to let this slip by, and when I dream and I want something so bad, I'll eventually get it.

Case in point: Dwight Gooden Rookie Card, Fleer Update 1984. As a 12 year old, it was THE card to have. Dwight Gooden was Rookie of the Year. The card was $80 (going through the roof at $250 at one point) I went to sleep at night for 3 years, dreaming of it in my collection.

Always talking smack but not on here (usually). I figured someone would swear up and down they would be the first one due to their order date, dealer promises, VIN numbers, etc. I heard people talking they would get their cars in September, it got really quiet now that it's September.

 

Same here, but I don't have a VIN or build date yet.

So I am trying to not get my hopes up, but it is hard now that the time is fast approaching.

 

Maybe me. my dealer ordered it as the dealer demo model and set production for day 1.

First: to convinced my dealer to start a order list back in mid Dec 03.
First: to order an 05 locally. I took them the order guide.
First: non VIP or worker to sit in the 05 at the 40th show.
First: to be interviewed while sitting in the 05. Discovery Channel
First: to drive the 05 at the first public offering. With Tire burning!

I definately will not have the first one since the buggers don't even have a build date for me yet. I finally sat down and collected my thoughts and figured hey, so what if I get my car 1 day before it snows. I'll just park it in the garage. After all, I then have all winter to add any aftermarket items I get. Then again, I'll probably have it all done and want to drive it even though there will be 2 ft of snow outside the garage door. I can just picture it now, I'm sitting in the mustang revving the engine while it is up on blocks. If the neighbours think I am nuts now I can just imagine what they will think in January.
