Who is still waiting for their Mustang??? My ETA Nov 15...

I was wondering how many are still waiting for their Mustangs. As stated, my ETA is Nov 15. I am counting the days and can not believe the end is near. It does seems like forever. I ordered July 26th and I can not believe I will soon be in the company of many others.

Feels like I am dreaming. I am getting very excited. Like a kid at Christmas. Am I the only one to feel this way???

Let me know when you order and what is your status???

WOW why did you have such a long wait? Was it because of material holds?

Count me in! Ordered August 17th and sat clean/unscheduled until two weeks ago. I'm scheduled to be built this Friday!

When were you locked in and what is the ETA for delivery to the dealership?
It sounds like the Premium GTs were all held back several months.

I called the dealership's sales manager on October 12th to tell him I was still C/U after 2 months. Ironically, within 3 days I was scheduled for the week of the 6th. I wasn't locked in until early last week sometime, and yesterday I went to the dealer, got my VIN, my "BUCKED" status and was told the 10th was the actual day. Last week, ETA was the week of the 20th, yesterday that changed to the 26th. I can wait now - it was the unscheduled thing that was killing me.

I ordered my G.O GT on September 11, 2006.
The car was unscheduled for almost a month due to a shortage of 18" wheels.
I changed my order on October 3rd to revert back to the 17" wheels.
About a week later my car was scheduled.

As of November 8th, my car is scheduled to be built sometime this week and delivered to my dealer the week of November 24th.

I'm just hoping that it will not snow here in Northeastern PA until after the car arrives. I would like to be able to drive it some before it goes into winter hibernation.

While I have been waiting for my car to arrive I have been collecting all of my mod parts. To date I have received;

Sequential Light Kit
12" Stripe Kit w/ 1/4" pin stripes (I'm not telling the color...it will be a surprise!)
GT350 Rocker Stripe
Aluminum Rear Window Louver (G.O. paint will be completed this week then striped)
Headlight Splitters (G.O. paint will be completed this week)
Window Tint
MoleSkin
Billet License Plate frame
Billet Cup Holder Bezel
2 Car Covers
Various Mustang/Pony/Ford Emblems and Decals
GTech Pro SS Performance Meter
2 Mustang Fender Covers
Eibach Pro Springs
Edlebrock Adj. Panhard Bar
Adj. Camber Bolts
Grabber Orange Touch-up Paint
Grabber Orange Brake Caliper Paint
Clay Bar / Detailing Kit
JLT CIA Kit (not sure I'm going use it. Looks too much like something that came from Home Depot)
"Boy Racer" Rear Wing (G.O. paint will be completed this week)
Hood Strut Kit
Billet Plug for the 12v on dash
Billet Seat Levers
Billet Map Light Console Trim
14" Antenna
SLP Loudmouth Axle-back Mufflers (I used the term "muffler" loosely )
Zaino - Complete System

Parts on Order;

Silverhorse Quarter Window Vents (will be painted G.O.)
Midwest Fuel Rail Covers to match the Ford Plenum Cover
Midwest Shock Tower Covers (painted G.O. w/plain inserts)

Parts on my list..not yet ordered;

SCT Tuner (cannot order until I get the number from the cars computer)
Nitrous Kit (Bottle/s painted G.O)
Short Throw Shifter (looking for recommendations)
Indash Stereo/DVD/Nav System to replace the Shaker 500
18x9.5 or 10" Wheels (most likely Argent Bullits or Konig Beyonds with Goodyear F1 tires)
Shock Tower Brace (one that clears the factory engine cover)

Next Year;

Kenne Bell Supercharger

I have my parts. I have arranged shop time for mod installations. Now all I need is the car!

I liked the GT500 dashboard appearance package instead of the IUP/SAP, so I guess that should speed things along!

Wow, I am not the only one who is waiting. The hard part like many know is the WAITING...I was told 6 to 8 weeks and it turns out to be 16 weeks. That is the hard part. If I knew it would be 16 weeks, I might be a little better than I am now. But, when 8 weeks came and went and still Clean and Unscheduled, I was upset...I had to drop my 18" rims to get my order built this quick...(IF you call it quick 16 weeks) I will buy some rims for the Spring...

So FINALLY a week or so and I will be like many others...I am happy to see others are in the same positions as myself. The end of November and there will be more new Mustang owners. Feels like we Graduated and will get our Diploma soon. That is how I feel...Like always, Post your Pictures...Thank you all for your response...We ard kind of like a Family on this site....Take care...

VanGO...What are the odds that we both ordered on the same day...Oh, 1 in 365...I can not believe how long we have to wait for our Mustangs...I am just glad ours will be here soon...December 5th for you must really suck...I thought I had it bad...

Well, at least it is coming...I guess we will appreciate it that much more...Good luck and let us know when your Mustang arriver as I will also...

The chance that one person picks a certain day is 1/365. The chance that another person then picks any given day is 1/365. Therefore, the chance that both pick the same day is (1/365)*(1/365) = 1/365^2 = 1 / 133225 = .000007506

wow, i'm a dork

I just wanted to thank everyone here, I have been browsing through these forums for Two months now, while patiently waiting for my new mustang to arrive. It's been kinda nice, I've been a patient person and it really helps to read all the interesting posts from everyone else, it helps to pass the time. So Thanks again for keeping me occupied while I wait for my new car.

I saw this thread and I realized it was time for me to join my first ever forum and post on this topic, so in response to the question I ordered my car on 9/9 and am now being told by my dealer that my car will be at the dealership no later than 11/29. I ordered 2007 GT Alloy,Premium,5 spd, 18 inch bullitts pretty much fully loaded.

Thanks, I will definetly post pics as soon as my car arrives. I periodically check the alloy forums to look at the pics, I had quite a tough time when deciding on the color of my car. Came down to either Black or Alloy, I ended up deciding on Alloy, I currently own a 88 black GT, so I wanted something different, and I just love the new alloy color. It was a very difficult decision, lets face it, there's nothing quite like a sparkling clean shiny Black Mustang, but oh are they a pain in the a$$ to keep clean.

I ordered my perf. white 07 GT on 10/09/06
3 week later Dealer had no news for me.
I called last monday 11/06/06 and my car has VIN number.
They said expect another 30 days for delivery.
Question. When they say that car has VIN number, is it slated then to be build?

This is what I ordered.
07 GT Perf. White.
Light Graphite Int.
5-Speed manual
IUP
Alarm
18' polished wheels
3.55 gears
GT appearance package

flyfinn...My car received a Vin number on October 13 and was Built on November 1st...After it was built my car was shipped the next day on rail...So around 2 weeks to be built after you get your Vin and another 2 week for shipping seems to be average...Although, some have had it much sooner...FYI...

I can drive to AAI in Flat Rock in about 50 minutes if there's no traffic on I-75
So they'd better not take 2 weeks to deliver Stangs in MI.
