From what I have seen so far, the 05+ easily looks better than the 2010. Part of the reason I think the current car is so popular is that it has very strong ties to the past. If Ford starts monkeying with the looks of the current car too much, well, no way will I think about it.

Plus, as a bonus, our new Stang is already paid for, so that makes it easier to keep.

I'd keep my 06, as Jayhawk mentioned, because it is very reminiscent of the past and buy a 10 if the style is comparable.

I'm keeping this '07 for a long time. It's my first Mustang and I've got way too much in it to ever get it back out. If I get another one it will probably be an SE in 2011 or so and keep the one I've got. But thats only an if.

Will the increase in HP influence you? It would be great to start with 400HP as a base than 300.

That 6.2L engine might be too much to pass up. If it comes with internals that don't suck, I'm definitely onboard. And I really like the GT500-ish front end, so that's a bonus in my opinion.

I'm keeping my 07 for a long time. Many of us are well beyond 300 hp with our S197's anyway. Mine is currently at 420+ hp already and growing, plus a great looking car, so the 2010+ would have to surpass that to even think about trading.

I would consider getting the 2011 before getting the 2010 in order to give Ford a year to work out some of the "bugs" in the new car. That being said, I'll probably have to give my 07 to the wife to smooze her over so that I could get the new one too.

keeping my 05, Sonic Blue and only 20,000 miles for 3 years not bad, plus I just got it the way I want it.

I plan on keeping mine '05 - hope prices for parts will go down once the new model comes out. Maybe pick up a new Fiesta ST or SVT hatch when those come out.

I've only had my '08 a few months, but paint chips have me wanting to 'start again'. I would go with an '11 for the bigger engine and getting bugs worked out.

What I don't like about the '10's so far is the turn signal (or whatever light that is) mixed in the the headlamp, and i'm not too crazy about the candy cane tail lights.

I love the interior as it is now, but would like a bigger and better and higher up nav, and SYNC!

So i'm on the fence, but if I like it I just may get it. If not, the '08 will be around for a long time and probably new and better paint put on it.

Too early to tell for me. It depends on:

1 - The final styling. I was sold on the '05 once I saw the body, so this remains to be seen.

2 - The engine. If it's 400 horse AND with better MPG, that would be a big plus.

3 - See what shakes out with gas prices. If were up to $6/gallon or more by this time next year I'll probably be considering a 4 cyl.

I'm not concerned about the first year thing. This '05 has easily proven to be one of, if not the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned.

I may trade the '07 when the Boss or Mach 1 becomes available.

From the spy shots I've seen so far, there is nothing with redesigned styling bits for the 2010 model that doesn't make me want to hurl. Tail lights seem hidious. The chrome trim and amber lenses inboard of the headlights are awful (maybe lose the chrome and use a clear lens??). Square/rectangular AC vents, ick! New guage cluster, ugh! Ok, maybe the steering wheel is decent. IRS-doubt it. Wheels and seats??? who cares, those are relatively easy aftermarket swaps after purchasing a car.

If the rumored engines do make it to the 2010 model, the overall styling so far will still disuade me from getting a 2010. I'll just continue to bump up the HP of my 2006 to match or maybe drop in a 2010 or beyond motor (if it fits) to keep the masses guessing.

Trade it for a Camaro, G8 GXP, Corvette, Challenger SRT-8, or Infiniti G37.

I heard that Ford *thought* about adding the 6.2 into the Stang, but more likely than not the only V8 for the GT would be the 5.0L modular gen-2 V8. A Gas turbo direct injection V6 may be available as well.

I am going to keep my 05. Once the mileage gets too high I will see about getting a GT500 but I guess I will wait and see a completely uncovered version before I really decide.
