I would say that if money is no option, and the Foose Stallion fills the wish list minus a supercharger ... to get it and add the supercharger.

I do not know your financial situation nor the limit of your significant others patience with how much you spend.

Either way they are both nice cars and I wish you luck. That and we want to see pictures when you get it!

who said anything about a hundred grand...lol... the max im spending is 50 on a new s281 saleen.. the foose stalions will be around 40, but without the super charger.. wife wants a porsche, she hates the mustang, which means she wont drive it...thats a good thing.. if i can find a good guy to build me one from a gt ill do that as well.. just weighing my options...

For me, I prefer the looks of the Saleen, throw on their parts and turn it into one of their Extreme Editions for less money.

Build your own stang, that way its yours and you have exactly what you want. And its unique. Unless you plan on selling anytime soon. I believe the packages will hold their value better.

Its prolly cheaper to add your own stuff.the markup is rediculous for the Saleen and others.

If you can can locate a Saleen or Roush authorized dealer, then I would think you'd be able to pick and choose what you wanted on your car, which might save you money, but still get you all the beneifits

There's a thread somewhere on here where someone listed the options available to him at such a dealership -I'll see if I can't find it

I'm not a fan of the Saleen. I'd go with the Foose Stallion all the way. You can always add a supercharger. As a side note, a lot of the parts used on the Foose are just common after market parts you can get on your own. Although it would be cool to actually have a Foose production car.

I think Unique is going to offer a blower as an option for the Stallion -- so you may want to wait and see. Either way, it should be about the same (if not cheaper) than a Saleen or Roush.

If you don't want to hassle with building the car yourself, than go with a tuner (between them all, I like the Foose car the best). However, you can save some descent money, and get the car EXACTLY how you want it if you did it yourself.

Personally, though, if I were to spend $50k for a new car -- it wouldn't be a Mustang. Vette or M3 perhaps. The point of a Mustang is great performance for a cheap price. $50k is no longer cheap.

I have narrowed it down to the saleen or the foose stalion. i was on the phone today with paul from unique. the foose stalion will not be available with a super charger till next year. he says they will be sold for 38-40 grand.. that works for me, even if i get one this year and add a super charger it will be worth it to me.. my buddies dealer will be on the list of distributers. that means ill get it for his price, which should work out great for me.. i really like the saleen, but something about the lines of the foose car has me going.. they seem much sleeker and cleaner....

I like DIY. I've got all the important stuff, without the big chunk of plastic rear for about 35k total.

How about the Cervini Eleanor kit? Their packages start at about $12000 installed plus the cost of the Mustang. The top of the line package boost performance up to 535 hp.

Dave I don't know why you are asking us. The decision is yours. I can see the wife is no help as she has no taste in hot rods. I would rather purchased a worked over car than start adding parts to a stock GT. I think about who is going to repair this thing if I had a collision. Would it be scrap like a Ford GT?

Saleen hood is good, front bumper OK, but the grill looks like poo.
