Dealer called and says I got serialized. I called ERL and she still says CU. Last week the dealer called me and said there were still 4 orders ahead of me. So either he has great allotment (in order to get 4 GT's serialized in 1 week) or he has me confused with someone else. I even called him back and he swore on it!

Has this happened to anyone else...dealer says 1 thing and ERL says another? Trust me I hope he's right....

Any thoughts?

 

The ERL isn't always correct, it's updated every so often. My guess is that the dealer is right.

 

I'd say give the ERL a day or two...then see.

 

if the ERL doesn't update to serialized on Friday then you need to start asking questions

 

Yep, I agree with the others... it doesn't do much good for the dealer to BS ya, they would have a lot of mad folks coming to see them and affecting new sales! I went down to my dealer to hear the "bad news" face-to-face and it wasn't bad news! My dealer said it was pulled and ERL agreed a day or two later. That's a pretty fast order but sounds legit, congrats & good luck!

 

Sorry to post twice in a row but I just saw that "your dealer called you!" ... that's a good sign already! I don't think very many Mustang dealers have been making outgoing calls to customers because... who wants to call and say "yep, still nuthin!"
