Wink

I’m not talking street racing or even at the track. I’m talking about in your neighborhood, where is your favorite spot you can get on it with little risk of the little flashy lights or meeting a ditch or whatever.

Here’s mine … there is a large interstate entrance ramp - huge in comparison to the relatively small local roads. It is a gentle curve across four lanes and then a long ramp down a slight hill. The best is to be first at the red light. You can get on it from the light, accelerate through the curve, and down the hill through the long merge lane. Many times there are semi-trucks on the interstate that are in the right lane, going relatively slow, so you have to get up to speed to get ahead of them. (I’m sticking to that story, officer ). There is a “Motorized Traffic Only” sign barely after the curve. My aim is to be speeding before that sign.

Then at the end of the ramp, I calm down and merge into the normal flow of traffic. It’s a great run for the short distance, however.

Seriously, right when I get on the freeway in the morning. No one is there when I'm driving in to work.

Mine is also an interstate on-ramp. I make the left from a double turn lane and there sometimes is someone sitting next to me. They probably think "what a jerk" or "who's he racing, me? in the camry"

Highway entrance ramp...kinda sucks when you have to SLOW DOWN from 100mph to merge in though

I drive into the city the backway on 2 lane highway. Coming out of the burb there is a 2 mile stretch that starts at 35 and then quickly runs up to 55mph. I always seem to get stuck behind some slow **** who drives 35 the entire way. Well that road T intersects another and it's a long straight away. If that person makes a right infront of me and the oncoming lane is clear. I'll give him a couple seconds and then juice it, putting a good 100ft on them as I get up to 65mph.

Probably more enjoyable because there is a sense of catching and then passing the person who's just been annoying the heck out of you.

i always leave fro school really early (since im still kinda bad at stick lol) to avoid traffic. theres pretty much no one out there, so i can just gun it most of the way to school.

speed lmit is 35-40 depending on the area, im usually going about 50, so long as theres no one else around. other cars make me nervouse and i ususally slow down around them

I live on a 2 lane highway and I can see for a long way in both directions as I pull out my driveway.....sometimes I get on it, sometimes not.

gotta admit the onramp addiction has got ahold of me too...hey it is the 'acceleration lane' right? if the ramps clear, entering onto the highway requires brakes everytime...but those are the 5-6-7 seconds that allow you to hit the carpet without any risk to anyone else, and probably least likely place to get a ticket...

gotta be the on-ramp!, we have quite a few decent ones in the Seattle area, especially the ones with the traffic "metered entry light", there is one with a long ramp in Kirkland to southbound I-405 that is good for winding out 1st and 2nd a bit.
I also go thru 3 tunnels in my daily commute, when traffic is very light its nice to kick it down and let the Borlas talk!!

Got this nice bypass in our area...never seems to be cops around. Got it up to about 100 there, but dared not risk any faster. Besides, I had to catch an exit.

Here's a quick video of one of my favorite spots...I backed off at 110 in the fast lane.

Can you guess where this is?

Zero to 110...turn up the sound!

Got a tight curving ramp onto the freeway near my house.
You can see oncoming traffic as you come around the top part of the ramp.
I love to just cruise the top part of the curve, then nail it at the bottom and merge in front of all the folks who sped up thinking they would be in front of me when I merged.

Getting onto Exit 238 on 65 North in Alabaster Alabama & exit 242 on 65 South in Pelham . LOVE it, and its perfect if you hit it just right. - Straight down, drop the pedal and you can be at 90 before you hit the entry onto the interstate. Also- at 242 you can get loose and peel out if you play it just right. I don't do that often, just when I wanna show someone who's the boss.

Also Highway 70 in Calera- Cause if no idiots are in the way, you can get a LOT of fun going on. Its straight and level- Speed limit 55 but no police.

The Wilburton tunnel, the Mercer Island tunnel and finally the Mt. Baker I90 tunnel. I hear you dude. Downshift and floor it. I only have the Flowmaster American Thunders so it's probably not as impressive, but it's still awesome. I also like to do it on my Harley V-Rod (with V-modded pipes) now there's some sound... check out the video in my signature...
