I keep seeing posts on where the 2005 Mustang has been but not where it's going to be. The Pony drive is over and I was wonder if anyone had some dates and places where it can be seen it in the future.

You'll be able to see it at your local Ford dealership in late September/early October :P

I seen it at 2004 NAIAS, I just can't wait until September to see it again. I want to sit in it this time. B)

The dates for the '05 tour were posted in the first Pony Drive thread a few months ago, but I've tried to search for it and I can't find it.

No, I think it was Brad that posted the information about the Pony Drive on this site and at the end of the post, the dates for the Mustang tour, seperate of the Pony Drive, were listed. I remember because I noted that it would be in Cincinnati on June 8. Sorry, maybe someone saved the info.

How about the Woodard Avenue Dream Cruise in Detroit in late August. Ford Motor Co. will have their display tent set up in Birmingham. I predict a lot of new Mustangs on display, and also others actually being driven in the cruise. Also, I predict their will be Ford GT's participating in the cruise.

Just had another thought. The Woodward Avenue Dream Cruise would make a great venue for Ford to display the GT-R.

I'm kinda miffed at Ford, they pretty well ignored the Pacific Northwest altogether. I'm pretty sure there hasn't been a 2005 shown in either Oregon or Washington at all. And we have an amazingly large number of Mustang enthusiasts in the Northwest, I would wager we have more per capita than many of the areas Ford elected to bring the 2005 for show...

Grrrrr. Oh well, I guess I'll see it for the first time on or about the 29th of September, when mine arrives...

Remember that according to latest musings, they're building up a few show cars at the factory now, in preparation for the ramp up to full production in September. So, you might see one soon at a local dealer as a show-off car.

Which Galpin? Aren't there more than one? Or at least where is the Galpin to which you refer? L.A. being so spread out.

Did the 05 ever get to Chicago, except for the NAIAS?

To put some #'s on it: According to the Ford engineer, so far there are 3 hand built prototypes and 60 "P2" cars, which are prototype series 2 cars, semi machine built. These P2 cars are what we are seeing on the road and with the Pony tour.

Ford is scheduled to built 110 pilot production cars momentily. They may even start building them this week. That means very soon there will be close to 3 times as many 05 Stangs out and about, so I would expect 05 Stang sightings to increase dramatically.

As someone else mentioned, I would expect them to start showing up at some of the large dealers like Galpin for extended visits.

Come on up to my area. You're bound to see a couple a week.

As already mentioned... the Woodward Dream Cruise... This year marks the 10th "offical" anniversary of it.

http://www.woodwarddreamcruise.com/2004 This is the LARGEST cruise event in the world. If there is a car you'd like to see... you WILL see it there... trust me It's unbelievable.

Saturday August 21 2004, but people start camping out and cruising on the Friday before. Don't bother trying to find a spot to park your car at on Woodward... most places are already taken and parking spots usually cost anywhere from $50 - $200 for one spot.

I'll be there...

And also.. you might wanna come up to my neck of the woods. Cruising Downriver http://www.cruisingdownriver.com/ starts Saturday, June 26, 2004. It's a little bit smaller than the Woodward Cruise.. but well worth it.

Auto Alliance International is one of the main sponsers. There will be some 2005 Mustangs at the cruise.

Kick off party http://www.cruisingdownriver.com/kickoffparty.htm is the Thrusday before and it's celebrating the 40th Anni of the Mustang. Sure to have 05's at the party. I'm still "thinking" of going to that, but at $50 per person... ouch.

I'll get the streets to you later today, but it is the one next to the Volvo and where they sell Rouch's and Saleens. I'll give you where it is later today. The date is not set, but it said it would be there in the Mustang Club of America magazine/newsletter.

I missed the pony drive. Stupid me was not informed the 05 would be there, and decided not to drive the 60 miles to see them. Blasted!
Now that I moved 10 miles from where it was it's already gone. Grr.....
