Where are all the strippers? Current selling prices?

I was going to buy a new Mustang, but I don't think I can hack 700/mo payments for 6 years right now... (Lo option GT costs 41k tax in here.)

It seems like all the 2005+ GT's I see for sale in the US are loaded up with leather and all the options, and are selling for 25k+

I was looking for a cloth interior car with maybe IUP. Has anyone seen any of these for sale anywhere? Does anyone know what these cars are actually selling for? I go on ebay all there is for 05+ cars are ones that don't get bids over 20k and never sell (reserve not met.)

I'm hoping that by next year I'll be able to find '05's with 40-50k miles on them selling for under 20k. Forlorn hope?

Yeah, 650/mo for 6 years with a payoff of over 10k! I think a 5 year note is 800 a month.

Nuts.

Either get a 7 year note with a hefty down payment or buy a used GT for 20k on the road.

I'm leaning towards used, then I can get it paid for and use it as a trade in on the next gen car in 4 years. Might be worth 10k by then, judging by the used 99-04 cars I see kicking around.

I only make around 3400/mo gross so I don't have a whole lot of room for payments...

Only $3400 per month? That's a pretty decent monthly gross to not be able to swing a car payment........you must have other debts that are considerable.

I don't buy food. I find that the used 05 and 06 GT's are anywhere from $23,000 - $27,000 depending on mileage and condition. I put my own used 2006 into KBB online and it priced it at dealer price used 4200 on odo
Excellent $30,085 and then added 20,000 on odo and the price was Excellent $26,785
I looked into a second Mustang (the GO V6 DORA I posted recently) but the idea has been halted because of the current pricing.

S197s are NOT cheap, but if you factor in inflation, $26,000 today is $23,000 about 3-4 years ago, about the same price for a stripped down Mustang GT.

I agree that everywhere I go, I see only GT Coupe/Convertibles with the Premium package (Shaker 500 and leather standard) and a buttload of packages and gawdy aluminum panels.

You can always factory order and get a new horse that wasn't abused by someone else.

3400*.4=1360 (debt service ratio of 40%

motorcycle note: 160/mo
student loan: 106
Visa: 70 bucks but I pay more (student loan hehe)
rent: 450

1360 - (160+106+70+450) = 574

A/C Excise Tax$100Destination and Delivery$1,250 TOTAL MSRP$36,429Delivery Allowance$0 *Total MSRP less
Delivery Allowance$36,429
36429*1.13 (sales tax) = 41164.77

794 for 60 mo @ 5.94%

574 - 794 = -220.

Now, pay off all my loans (should have this done by next may or so) so the Mustang & Rent are my only payment, and...

(794+450)/3400=36.6%

It just fits!

So that's how 3400 a month can barely scrape a new GT.

Um, where did the quote for a 2007 Coupe for MSRP of 33,599 come from? Hell that is convertible GT premium price ranges there. I got my 06 Premium coupe for under 24K and only put 1K down. I got about 2K in profit on my trade and have a car payment that is under $500/month for 60 months.

Just to make sure I wasn't flippin my wig, I just looked at fordvehicles.com and the Deluxe GT is there with an MSRP of 26,020. But one thing to keep in mind is that car insurance will go up with a car like this. But with the additional safety features, mine didn't skyrocket.
