When should I chang fuel filter?

Hey all. I'm going in for my 15K service on my 08 GT Manual and the service dep advised that I should change my fuel filter. I was surprised that already it should be changed, anyone have any insight on this?

Thx

Doing it myself isn't a problem, I just wanted to know when was the normal time to change the fuel filter.

15k? Hmmm, my dealer has never told me mine was due and I have 75,000 km on my car. I plan on changing it this year but since my car is in storage I can't look it up in the owners manually to see when it should be changed.

Gee, I thought it would be easy to find...but I guess not. I changed mine at 30K, which I think is the recommended factory interval...

No tools required - just a bucket and a rag. Gloves if you don't like the smell of fuel on you all day. (and who doesn't?)

For no more than a filter cost every 10K miles would be fine. Just be sure you connect it back to the line properly.

Under the driver's seat, effectively, on the bottom of the car. It's hiding under a plastic cover.

I think I replaced mine at 30K.

The recommended interval is in the owner's manual.

Getting that bloody plastic cover off (without breaking anything on the cover) was the hardest part of the filter swap for me. No lift, so up on stands and laying on my back...

It was about the 35k mark when I changed it, I believe.

Me too. But I changed it cuz I was having delayed starting issues, they suggested changing the fuel filter. 15k is way early.

I did mine at 15k but have not done it since. Has anybody had any issues with dirty or clogged filters? What are the signs that one might be getting clogged? I am thinking about doing it again this time myself.

How is the cover attached? And does anyone know where they are on F150'S?
