OK, I have tried to look in the threads for pictures, but there are sooooooooooo many of them and I havent seen what I am looking for specifically, hence this question.

Are the stock FORD logo center caps on the gray wheels silver??

The reason I ask is, I have the pony package and different center caps. My caps match the gray wheels. I bought a set of gray wheels for my friends car, and his center caps are silver,,, they look kinda funny with the gray wheels. (I got his stock silver wheels for winter use)

Please, if any of you guys with the GT, or plain V6, and have the stock gray wheels with the ford logo center caps, post a pic or two.

 

exterior section, theres been many threads on wheels in there and im sure you will be able to find that answer. what im saying is, i dont have a answer for you lol. or someone else will chime in.

Your in luck... here's a picture of mine and I also went out to the garage to check. My Ford center caps are painted silver (same color as my wheels).

That is the same as my friends. His 07 GT came with silver wheels, My 06 pony package came with gray as in my picture, and my canter cap has the try bar pony. He wanted gray wheels so I bought a set of 4. I had new wheels mounted to them, and gave him the set that came on my car. He gave me his silver wheels for me to use in the winter. (I now have two sets of tires and wheels)

Anyway, I hadn't given it any thought till the other night I was over at his house. While leaving, I looked at the gray wheels on his car, and noticed the silver ford logo center caps.

So now I am trying to find out if there are two different FORD logo center caps for the stock wheels. (silver and gray) OR do ALL the gray ones have the pony canter cap??

 

It would appear that I have found the answer to my question.

There ARE two different ford logo center caps.
One is all silver, and the other is gray ring (to match the wheels) and silver inside (see pic)



Does anyone have the part number??

 

Give 05stangkc a call. He hooked me up with the pony caps for those wheels.

 

no offense,but I would go pony . The Ford Racing ones look cool but not ford logo by itself on a stang. Reminds me of the Taurus IMO

 

i might actually have a set of these in my garage - i am away but can check when I am home sunday. I would let them go cheap

I guess I could always go with spinners for mine, and let him have my pony's.... but Ill wait to see what Burke has.

 

Boltzman...just remember, the Stang doesn't say Ford anywhere on the vehicle...so Ford felt they could get away with putting them on the center caps for the GT. I do prefer the "pony" center caps...however, they were standard on the V6 Pony Package Trim only and not for the GTs...I'll stick with Ford center caps.

 

yep, and thats one reason I bought the Pony package. I liked the options that were different then the rest... Would have been nice to have a choice of V6 or V8 tho... But im not complaining.

Also, that is why I said my friend is kinds picky about his car.... But eh, Ill talk to him to see what he want to do.
