Thumbs up

Does anyone know if the current 17" bright machined aluminum wheels will be carried over in 2006 on the GT's?

No official word, but
its a safe bet.

They wouldn't set up a wheel for a 1 year run.

I would guess they will be. Don't expect major changes from 05 to 06.

Its nothing more than an educated guess though.

Same here, I've only heard the 18" will be added, the rest will be carryovers. As boomer said, the tooling to make a wheel is too high for a one year run - they'll usually last three years at least.

I love the concept upgrade wheels. They look great, especially when spinning, and they are easy to wash... :worship:

i'll vouche for the 'they look good in person'

I am getting Bullitts/Torque Thrusts however.

The one thing I don't like about the 'concept style' optional wheel is...its not large enough for the design. That rim would look awsome in 18-20 inches (20 being the concept size)
The arms just don't seem long enough on a 17" wheel. To me at least.

My thoughts at first. In person they have really grown on me. I like both wheels. It's time for change. They look tens times better in my picture here, then the one at the start of this post.

No, they are not from an LS. And they are not from a truck either!

They have a clean modern look whereas the bullits are looking a bit dated. True an 18" version would have been better, but unfortunately thats not an option until the tire handing equipment is upgraded at the factory.

I chose the optional concept wheels, no regrets. However I'm sure people who chose the bullit look have no regrets either.

I agree, there is a need for larger rims of a similar style/spoke design on this car.

Both rims look good though.

What's a bit weird is that the bullitts look like smaller rims compared to the concepts on the car. I felt the same way about the previous gen. It must be the design and the darkened spokes creating the illusion on a smaller rim. That is one of the reasons I prefer the concepts, they look larger.
