wheel differences on 07's?

Hi Everyone,

In my search for rims for my 07 (on order) i've noticed some websites stating rims will not fit the 07 mustang. Does anyone know what has changed from 05-06 to 07 that would make the rims not fit anymore?

Thanks in advance,
Mike

Does anyone know exactly where the monitor is placed or attached?

somewhere in side the rim, if someone changing the tire does not know about it or is not familiar with the monitor, they can break it and cost some $$$ to fix. This is also why I understand they have gone to the stick on wheel weights.

It should be meaningless (won't hurt a bit), but if you can take off the monitors you can sell them to '07 guys that are changing wheels.

Apparently you can put aftermarket wheels on the 07's, but there is some kind of band that you have to mount inside the rims so that the TPS systems works properly.

Sounds like maybe the '05 thru '06 will accept a wider wheel than the '07?

I've noticed that some aftermarket wheels avertise they have fitment for TPS sensors. I just didn't know the 07's now have that option. I would have thought Ford would advertise that, or the dealers would know that.

Hi Guys, 05-07 Mustangs all use the same wheels. the 07's have a tire press
sensor held on with a metal strap, that can only be used one time!Ford has
a strap kits for 16"thru 24" wheels at $50.00 each!!! new sensors are about the same price ea. I know all this because I'm going from 17" bright
machined wheels to 17" Bullit's on my 07 GT. Hope this helps! also 05-07
mustangs use 17"X8" with +45MM back space 4.5" bolt pat
