. Man, I'll never forget the concert AC/DC put on at an airstrip here in Toronto for over 500,000 fans (2 summers ago) .. That's right, over half a million people.. AC/DC said it was by far the largest crowd they ever played in front of.. Actual attendance was over 550,000.. Just an incredible show that I also have on DVD.. Amazing. I will never look at AC/DC the same way after that astonishing performance ( I was in the first 10 rows ).

1 cd of driving music with a lot of AC DC, Guns N' Roses, Kiss, BTO, and more. I really should put more than one CD in.

Is it me, or is the sound quality of MP3 not as good as CD?
Thought it was common sense, there is a reason you can only fit ~20 songs on a CD and ~100 MP3s on a CD.

I burn my MP3's at variable bit rate in the 200-256 kbit range, and they sound great, far good enough for car listening.

Anything below 192 becomes tough to listen to, ESPECIALLY if it has a lot of cymbals in it (anything high pitched gets washed out and wavy and sounds horrible).

Stones ('65-'66), Doors, Dido, Dylan, Fleetwood Mac & Nora Jones. I was surprised at the make up of what ended up shuffled in there.

I'm so disappointed in everyone, all of these great musicians and NO ONE has Dave Matthews Band?

Dont get me wrong, I really like most of what you all have listed, Josh Groban being the exception
I don't have him in, but I have every one of his CDS ever released in the car proper. Does that count? [/b][/quote]
Yes, that absolutely counts and you are forgiven!

Alrighty, in no particular order, are the MP3 discs that I have created for the Shaker so far.

1.
John Mellencamp's Greatest Hits
Ultimate Daryl Hall + John Oates

2.
The Steve Miller Band Greatest Hits 1974-78
Boston Greatest Hits
The Very Best of The Eagles
Styx - Come Sail Away: The Styx Anthology

3.
The Best of The Doors
Echoes: The Best of Pink Floyd (going to be widening the PF collection for the shaker )
Couple of choice tunes from Steely Dan
Stevie Wonder - Song Review

4.
Green Day - International Superhits
Nirvana - Nevermind
Pearl Jam - Greatest Hits 1991-2003
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Greatest Hits
Stone Temple Pilots - Thank You

5.
Motley Crue - Shout At The Devil
Motley Crue - Theatre of Pain
Motley Crue - Girls, Girls, Girls
Motley Crue - Dr. Feelgood
Motley Crue - the song Primal Scream
Ratt - Ratt & Roll 8191
Sammy Hagar - The Essential Red Collection

6.
AC/DC - Let There Be Rock
AC/DC - Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap
AC/DC - High Voltage
AC/DC - Highway To heck
AC/DC - Back In Black
AC/DC - Who Made Who (songs not duplicated)
AC/DC - The Razors Edge
Quiet Riot - Greatest Hits

7.
Van Halen - Van Halen
Van Halen - 1984
Van Halen - 5150
Van Halen - The Best of Both Worlds (songs not duplicated)
ZZ Top - Eliminator
ZZ Top - Afterburner
ZZ Top - Greatest Hits (songs not duplicated)

8.
Korn - Greatest Hits Vol. 1
The Essential Ozzy Osbourne
Pantera - Vulgar Display of Power
Pantera - few songs from Cowboys From heck and Far Beyond Driven
White Zombie - More Human Than Human, Black Sunshine, Thunder Kiss '65
Rob Zombie - Living Dead Girl, Dragula

That is what I've put together so far, but I already know some of it is going to be re-worked. White ZOmbie is a good example as I forgot how much of Astro-Creep: 2000 that I liked, so it's all subject to change. Gotta love how cheap it is to burn discs now a days.
