I'm sorry if this has been discussed to death already...

But, what is the quickest time some have seen for an ordered GT? Just wondering as I ordered on 02/10/05.

u ordered IUP and i can tell u the fastest was without IUP....i think someone who ordered without IUP got it in like 2 months....but IUP people wait for like 4....people from october r just getting them now...im expecting april/may. u should expect may/june

Actually, if my order stays true, I should have mine approximately 9 weeks after I placed the order, and I have IUP. My dealer also had one Mustang order ahead of me as well. This is not fact, it's based solely upon order status information returned by Ford about my car. Only time will tell if it actually appears by April 1.

note my sig, if everything stays as is I should be about 6 weeks from order to my garage.

 

Sean - I don't know if I would trust a delivery date of April Fool's Day

 

look at my signature , just got build date of week of Feb 28

 

I ordered my GT with IUP around the second week of Jan. and I have a delivery date of the week of Feb.27th.My dealer says it could be the following week though.Gary.

 

TIGGER HOLY CRAP!! ur sig gives me some hope....u ordered like 2 weeks before and u have a build date maybe i should expect a build date soon!!!!!!!!

 

i got IUP and Mycolor and mine was in the driveway in well under 2months.

then again i ordered in september and got in november, well before all these backlogging fiascos started

6500mi and rollin!

 

If you don't have IUP ordered, you get the car very fast. I actually like the all black dash so it worked out great for me. My sig tells all, and remember they didn't build cars for two of those weeks.

I ordered my car In October and was told eight weeks. It's been four MONTHS and I STILL don't have it. It was built more than three weeks ago and was scheduled to be delivered Feb. 5 by convoy. I STILL don't have it. Ford customer service said it was pushed back from a Feb. 5 delivery to Feb. 12 for reasons no one can explain. But despite their assurances that it left the plant and would not further be delayed, I STILL haven't received it as of Feb. 16.
In the meantime, my dealer lowered his offer on my trade by $1,000 because well, it depreciated over the extra three months I have been delayed.

I'm with you. I ordered mine on November 1st and my dealer knows nothing, just tells me my GT is the next to be built. Like I said, ordered 11/01/04 and still no VIN #, no build date, no delivery date. Not to repeat an earlier post, but the rest of you guys are killing me too!!!

The determining factor is dealer allocation. It's actually possible for you to place an order on a Wednesday and have it pulled by Ford from that dealer that night, which would put it on your doorstep in four weeks. My order looks like it will take six weeks, but the first two weeks really don't count, since Ford wasn't pulling Verts for the first two weeks.

 

I ordered mine on Jan. 3 and got a build date the next day and it was for the week of Jan. tenth and the car came in on Jan. 20, It is a Black GT with bullit rims and IUP and my color, I couldn't believe how fast it came in, my brother ordered one 3 days later and still doesn't have a build date.

 

And I'm not to happy about it either!!!! :angry:

 

I placed my order on 10/27/04 and my baby arrived on 12/29/04. Torch Red GT, IUP, and red leather seats. There were a bunch of messages posted on this site about delays when I ordered my car back in October. My 2005 did not take any longer than the 3 previous cars that I have ordered in the past.
