[/B] So I ordered my 2006 Tungsten GT on June 11th. I have conctacted my dealer numerous times since then, but everytime, I hear that she has no information besides the MSRP. Is this normal to be delayed for this long?? I just want to make sure that the order went through and that all is still on tract. I want my pony really badly and its beginning to put me on edge. I see all of these people who ordered theirs around my time, and they all have their build dates already! And for the end of August to boot! Whats going on????

I ordered mine on May 3rd and as of a week and a half ago when I found another GT my order was still clean and unscheduled. Yes, the wait is normal and it's highly dependant on what your dealer's alocation is like and how many orders they have in front of yours.

Where are you guys ordering from that it is taking that long? I ordered my 06 GT around the middle of July and it is in production now. Delivery is in two weeks. Call the Ford Customer service number, give them your order number, dealer ID, and your info. They can give you up to the minute info.

Chef, ask your dealer if he received a Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement on your order. If he has a DORA, your order was submitted. If he does NOT have a DORA, it may be because he has not yet submitted your order.

He may not release the DORA to you - it has invoice prices on it as well, and some dealers are twitchy about releasing those. But I would ask for a copy anyway.

Your order depends on a lot of different issues. If this dealer doesn't have much allocation, it could be a long wait. Also, ask how many Mustang orders he has in front of yours.

Do you know what priority # he assigned to your order? A priority of 10 tells Ford, "If you can, please build this car for me ASAP." A priority of 99 says, "Hey Ford, don't even worry about this one."

If you cannot get any information from your dealer, it may be time to visit another dealer. HTH

The dealership would have received a Vehicle Order Confirmation as soon as they ordered the car. A DORA would have been received by them within 48 hours. I would go in ank politely ask them for a copy of the DORA. They may not want to give it to you as a lot of dealers won;t because it shows invoice pricing. Al they have to do is whit that out first. If they say they do not have it, then possibly the order was never placed since a DORA is generated on every order whether it is sold or not.
You might also want to ask them about their allocation and how many other Mustang orders are ahead of you.
If the waffle on these items, it might be time to find another dealer because how will they treat you after they get your hard earned money.

Ordered in 5/11
Order placed 6/1
Priority 12
Largest Ford Dealer in Georgia
Still C/U.

I'm 3rd in line at my dealer. They started at priority 10 but not all dealers start at 10 so priority can be misleading.

Traditionally the southeast gets a higher allocation than other parts of the country and being the largest dealer in the state, I would have thought that they would have had more than enough allocation during the 1st allocation period to get 3 cars scheduled. We are a moderate size dealer and we got 6 for the 1st period and I got all 5 of my sold ones scheduled including 3 GT's.
