I'm with you on that one, muzzy.... I'm holdin' out so I can save up some money to throw down in addition to my x-plan.... hopefully I can keep the payments to around $400 a mo, but I also want to put a blower on it right away.... so, yeah... I'm waitin' for the '06 I think. It's gonna be early in the summer before I'll have the money saved anyway. So..... long story short.... you asked the question so I didn't have to.

Not unless you are holding out in hopes of a special edition model.... otherwise all you have to look forward to is a probable price increase(s).

Giddyup is right! The only other thing you could possibly want to wait for is a new color for 06, otherwise it will mostly be a carryover model, and it will be priced higher.

The 18 inch fan blade wheels will also be available for 06. That might be something worth waiting for.....

I certainly like the blades better than this years optional wheels.... like the bullits a lot better for that matter, but I still think I'm going to put aftermarket wheels on it.... go with 19s... they seemed to look pretty good in relation to the wheel well. I'm going to lower the car by 1.5 to 2 inches too, so perhaps the 18s will do.... might save me the cost of new rubber for a while.

Yeah, I forgot the fan blades. A HP boost would be great! But, I don't think one is in the cards for next year. I hope I'm wrong though!

Well, people that bought the 2002 T-Bird @ 250HP probably didn't think the 2003 model would have 285HP either.

Not a good comparison, because 2002 was not the the first year for the new T-Bird. If you participated on any of the T-Bird and Lincoln LS websites you would have known in early 2002 that an updated higher HP version of the 3.9L V8 was on the way for the 2003 MY.

Normal model changeover would be in July and the 1st 2006 Mustangs should start showing up on dealer lots in September. But they will not officially go on sale until early October 2005.

If any big things are on the way for the 2006 model year, we will know many months in advance.

Bart.... I agree that the 18" Fan Blades will be nice, but: (1) These wheels will more than likely be an added $$$ option, and (2) The overall price of the '06 base Mustang will be higher than the current base model. Weighing the $$$ between next year and current......maybe it would be better to buy now, and use that future $$$ unspent to get some aftermarket rims of your choice now, and that's only if you don't like the current available rims. Any one...or half a dozen of the other...the bottom line is, if it 'Winds Your Watch' now, then why deprive yourself of the present. There's no guarantee that any of us will be breathing tomorrow..... Enjoy, whatever you decide

You got a good point Giddyup. They probably will raise the price in 06, and a 5% raise would be $1250 on a car that costs 25K, so that would almost pay for some 18 "after markets right there. But right now I have a leasse on a Truck, and work is getting kind of unstable, so I'm going to have to wait anyways. At least untill Spring.........

Too bad, I'd really like to order a GT right now!

I had thought about waiting to see if any special editions are anounced but if you look at Mustang history SE's don't come untill sales slump. I know the Cobra will be out but its out of my price range. So, as soon as I can I'm placing an order for a Convertible.

I disagree, it should be priced lower.

I bought my brand new 2000 GT for 21,865, fully loaded.
