there should be a green, glow in the dark handle that attaches to it. It is for the "mafia" trunk release.

Maybe some are different than others... but mine has little teeth on the back of the handle that is suppose to attach to the velcro circle, it does ok but after awhile I notice it hanging again... I think I'll get some stick on velcro and put the "hook" portion on the handle itself and then it should stick better to the "eye" portion supplied by Ford.

Well, you remember that Ford placed a saftey trunk release in the trunk just for this situation... You pull it, when they come to a stop, you jump out and run to the nearest pay phone.. The cops catch the guys, your safe, and the car is in good shape.. They did eat all of your tacos, but other than that all is well....
You call Ford and thank them for the saftey trunk release!

If you place the handle with the pictogram facing INTO the trunk (so the captive can see what the handle is for) then you can simply stick the pull handle onto the velcro.
Smart Engineering, eh?
That, plus the Smart Engineering of S&W in Springfield Massachusetts would insure you won't have to worry about some crook eating ur tacos
