I recieved my order confirmation and VIN today. But I haven't heard from many other people on their vehicle status lately? Why not? Where does everyone stand in the line? My VIN is:

1ZVFT80N455101321

Which makes me #1321 off the line, I believe. Although I realize this doesn't make much of a difference because of parts and availibility.

It looks like the vehicle was scheduled on 7/01. Right now it's status is "TEMP DELAY". I know a few others have recieved this status, but do any of you Ford salespeople who visit here know exactly what this means? (BEK, kevin??)

The other status's I've read of are "REV SPEC" and "SUB TO PLA".....

Do we know in what order these happen in? Does a vehicle get put in "TEMP DELAY" before or after it has reached the "REV SPEC" stage? Does this status mean there is a problem with the order, or does every vehicle go through this stage?

I'm glad you all are out there to shed some light on the inside processes of ordering. Thanks again!

heh, that's what I figured. I just don't know what sequence all these codes follow. If I knew, I could keep track of where I stand in the process, ya know?

last 8 on mine is 55103582 , and said serialized hold? Dealer said he assumes that means that the plant has an order of which cars they intend to build first.

darn. You gotta wait a while for yours stangman. Build number 3582... If they build them in order which technically they should be for that vin number to be correct for the car. You got a while to wait for yours my friend.

Why do you say he has a long time to wait, waveman? He is supposedly number 3,582... they are building about 1,100 a day... so his will technically be built on the third day. Or at least if everything goes as planned.

My car order is still reading clean and unscheduled as of Monday evening. I was hoping to hear something at the end of last week. My order as been in the system for a little over a month. I just think is going to take a little more time I hope rather than a lot of time.

Umm..Mine is still clean and unsched. also...

Vin# is 1ZVFT82H755103670

Which would make my stang 3670 off the line and built on the 4th day 1st shift, if they are crankin out 1100 of those puppies a day...

Wishful Thinking...I know...LOL

I am pretty sure they won't be running full speed for at least a month or two to make sure there are no quality issues.

Guess you car may be built on the 6th day then B)

Two question (actually one question 1 comment)

Where are you guys getting updated status?

The dude that works at the plant ai&F (or something) says that the end of your VIN is not the sequence to which they roll off the line. It is just the sequence in which Ford logged your order. And 1100 a day is beyond reality. If you think about it 1100/day is about a car coming off the line every 55 seconds. seems a bit fast. I don't think they're making bags of Chetos here.
