Hello everyone:

I installed these retro styled emblems on my GT, they use 3M tape to affix to the car. The pictures are not that good, but they match the GT emblem in regards to to the quality of the plastic chrome. They look to have a little contrast in the picture. I have to admit that I am not totally at this point sold on them. What do you all think? So let it rip..................

It does not match, looks cheap and crowded.

It's nice if that's what you like but it's not for me. It might look better if it said 300 instead of 281.

Actually, 281 is more correct since that's the size of the motor and that's what the numbers represented in the 60's which is where the idea for that emblem came from.

As for the emblem itself, I agree with the others. It looks cheap. Looks homemade... by a 2 year old. But that's JMO. If YOU like them, that's all that matters.

I have seen that before, I just can not remember the manufacture. Anyone recall?

I agree looks cheap. It's not used by Ford, has no place there IMO.

I thought I would really like these, but they don't match the GT emblems and don't look quite right, IMHO...

It is sad to say, because I bought them, but I agree with what most are saying on here.

I bought a set of those for the same reason you did because they are VERY retro looking but after getting them in the mail I chaulked that buy up to experiance. I was going to replace my GT emblem with them. Needless to say it is back to the hunt.

The original emblem looks a lot better.

If you want it to look less crowded, put it in the original position.

No worries to all, if I can those babys are back to the sender. They are no longer on the car. If they will not take them back, I will just chark it up, which I hate doing. Thanks you all for taking the time to post the obvious.

Not a terrible idea but the placement is wrong. If you want the true early 60s look you need to try it up near the headlight as in the picture provided by StangNut. It would help if the piece were of a higher quality. Good luck to you.

Maybe it would look better in place of the GT emblem?

I'm not seeing any of the pics in BEACHBOY's posts. The ones in StangNut's post come up fine though.

You have a great looking car which doesn't need any gadgets. It makes a strong statement as is with its design.
