c/u 12-13-04 dealer said out of allocation for March maybe April :bang: :bang: :bang:

 

Mine gave me the VIN # and told me it was going to be built 3/24 with an ETZ of 3/30.....

 

Better allocation

 

Dealer advised today that because of the backlog due to IUP his dealership is only getting 2-3 allocations for each month. He also told me to expect a late spring delivery or early summer. Kinda stinks but its worth the wait. Turns out even the salesman quit he was so pissed off. Mainly he was pissed because all these young kids come in wanting the mustang but they cannot get approved because of poor credit history or no credit history at all. The salesman phoned me at home and told me it was hard to live on $500.00 per month. Can't say I blame him.

 

Dealer #1: "There are three orders in front of you, we have not idea when you'll get scheduled." (There have been three orders in front of me for 4 months).

Dealer #2: "You just placed your order on Sunday, stop calling everyday."

 

Still no VIN after 8 weeks. No clue when it will get one. Giving it two more weeks. Went to a BMW lot and test drove an '02 330Ci vert today. Nice car.

 

He said here are the keys and the remotes are in the glovebox with the manual.
Took a whopping 16 weeks to hear that sweet sound!

 

dealer told me this week that my order placed in Jan. might be changed to an 06', they quit taking GT orders a couple of weeks ago, so soes that put me at the bottom of the 05' list and the top of the 06' list?
We got the car for 500 over inv., so I guess waiting is worth it

I hope to hear that very soon. Robot lady said "As of March 24th, you unit is locked into production for the week of March 21st." Wonder why she said the 24th when it was only the 18th when I called? Kinda strange.

Dealer told me "have fun driving your new stang" as I drove off.

 

Dealer, claims that my Redfire GT convertible is still scheduled for the week of March 21.. Robot lady claims as of March 24 the car lock into production for the week of March 21.

My only concern is that I will be out of the country when it finally arrives, but it will be a nice present to come back to .

 

Dealer told me that Ford is not giving the North East (NEW JERSEY) the allocation the south is getting. All cars go in as 10 (at my dealership) so it's the luck of the draw when you get pulled. Said that he was allocated 2 verts this month so he hopes things open up. I only ordered 3 weeks ago so I have time.

 

He didn't say anything because I decided not to call him. I will probably stop in the dealership and next friday and see what's going on. I heard from a friend that bought a car last week that he thought my car would here in May. They told her 16 week wait if she wanted to order. So she bought off the lot.

Came into the Hadley Rail yard in Mira Loma this morning, Dealer was going to "hot" schedule it to the dealership for tomorrow, but since it is going to rain the next couple of days I told him just let it ride (usual turn from the yard to So Cal dealerships is 3-4 days, my friend is a driver for them) as that way I can pick it up Friday night or on Saturday giving me a chance to detail my trade after the sprinkles.

YEAH its close. At least I know the car is here close by so its only a matter of getting through the work week then I can enjoy her all weekend.

dealer told me I was next....but the ERL told me i get screwed for one more week.

The first 25 verts will be handed out for Canada and mine is one of them!!!!

 

Just got an email today saying that I have a build date of 4/11. Order placed on 3/3, should have it late April. It definitely pays to go with a volume dealership.

I'm :dance: right about now! I do feel bad for those folks that ordered last year and still haven't been pulled.
