Ok, perhaps this should be in the chop section, but anywayz...

I am ordering a black GT, and I've been trying to figure out what wheels to get. I'm not ordering until next year, so if the 18s are available, I'll likely go for those, but I'm not a hug fan of the Bullitts or the polished aluminum 17s.

But, then I thought, what if I painted the dark charcoal part of the Bullits black to match the car.

So, I did the front wheel of a GT like this. I like the result better than the stock one (I left the rear alone so you can compare), but I'm still not sure. Whaddya think? I won't be able to afford aftermarkets for quite a while, so I'm trying to see what I can do with the current factory options.

The Bullitts look... 2-D... Either way, I don't like them.

I don't think it looks all that bad actually. Also, it adds a bit of personality that just about no one else will have. At ford.com in the mustang accessories section they currently sell something like it.

That chop is sweet

I would definately go w/ the black bullitts...prolly going to see bout getting mine powdercoated instead of painting. Worked pretty good on my F-150

Love the avatar TK421

Yeah, I hadn't thought about powdercoating, that would definitely be a lot more durable. Any ideas on cost?

I don't know... just seems like too much black for my taste.

I think chrome wheels or any bright wheel will set the car off more.

Not really a big fan of the bullitts. Never really have been. To me, they have been cheap imatiations of the ARE torque-thrusts. The If you're going to go with these style of wheels, get the ARE torque thrists cuz they have more style to the spokes and have a deeper dish.

Well, I was originally thinking brighter wheels, but I like the saleen chop with black bullitts--I think that looks good/mean. I'm a big fan of Black cars--I'm about set on black for a 05 stang.

If I got a black Mustang, it would look like the pseudo-Saleen up above... hopefully the real Saleen strikes a close chord to that design. :drive:

the black bullitts look great, as most everyone has agreed, guess your mind's now made up, go with powdercoating too.

the Saleen chop is fantastic, I really can't stop thinking every time I see a comparison, how tougher the car becomes when that sissy spoiler is dropped for a ducktail.

FORD give me a ducky ducky tail please!

I think the 17" black bullit's are only about 137 each. That isn't much, and I'm considering a set for my silver stang with black stripes. I'll know for certain when my dealer gets me pricing on the stripes monday. Hopefully, I can officially place my order monday as well
