breather it replaces just the regular valve cover cap i believe.....i think its more for looks then anything else

I believe that is for crankcase ventilation.

I think it's a breather. I don't think it's a PCV valve.

Correct, it's not the PCV valve but it is sitting where the valve normally sits.

Does anything odd happen when you get to 88 mph? If so its the Flux capacitor!

Ah. In my desrciption I was going to say the lines that look like brake lines, but I thought no way the brake lines are all the way up there.
Guess anything's possible when you put the battery where they did.

That IS where you put the blinker fluid, and the silver box is the hydrocoil manifold valve. Jeez, and you claim to be "car guys". :nono:

If you don't have a breather (the circled item) on a forced induction car pressure in the crankcase can blow seals out.
