Welp guys today is truly a great day....i put in my order for a black 05 gt, manny, concept rims, charcoal interior, IUP....im so pumped.

I am the 4th person to put an order in at Jack Demmer Ford in Wayne MI. I had a great salesman by the name of Dave Hawk. If anyone is in this area i highly suggest going to him, he is a huge mustang fan and has owned virtually every body style. He was more than helpful and assurred me that he would personally handle my vehicle, no porters Oh yea and Bill Ford also gets his vehicles from that dealership....so it was kind of cool.

Only a couple weeks away from job 1....cant wait until i can drive it...this is the first vehicle that i have purchased from a dealership. The mustang I have now I got used from a kid that put a stripe package and a Taz sticker on the back....you can imagine the other problems that ive had with it....the most suprising being a cookie on the intake manifold....cant wait till i can start over with a new one.

Ah nice. I live in Novi. I'm not going to goto the local Tom Holzer Ford cause I just don't like them. I'll be going to Hines Park Ford in Milford to order mine when I'm ready.

Congrats. I've been thinking of doing that, since my warrenty is gonna expire soon.. but not sure if I can afford a GT just yet.

I'll be going to George over at Southgate Ford.. my folks have been doing business with him for years. Awesome guy

What kinda cookie was it? Do all Mustangs come with free cookies, or was that a deal you made with the kid?

I figured he would walk to the end of the assembly line and drive it home from there.

7%

I just checked capital one. They have rates as low as 2.99% for new and used cars.

You can get a better rate than 7% through Ford financing. I would never pay that high of a rate on a new car loan. My current car loan is through GMAC, bought the car brand new, loan for $20k, 60 mo, 5.9% at the age of 22. Going through USAA this next time, they currently have 4.59% on new cars. That 2.99 is probably for a 36 mo. loan anyway, I tried going to Capital One's site to look, but I couldn't find the 60 mo. rate.

Don't be fooled into thinking you don't have good credit. Get a credit report and see where you stand first. You should do this at least every other year to make sure no one has screwed your credit up without your knowing. I have heard many stories of people checking their reports and finding someone else or another company had screwed up their credit.

Doesn't hurt to ask around for a lower rate. All they can say is no. But if they say yes, you can save a lot of money by knocking off a few percentage points.

When I was 20, I got a credit card at the lowest rate offered. Then a year later I got a used car loan at a rate that was really close to the going rate. I think even at your age you should get a better rate.

Gees, That is two different threads now that I have posted something my dad would have said.

Aiken, eh? I interviewed for a job over at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, but I didn't get it. A year later, I drove through the place for the first time and thanked God that they turned me down. Nothing but trees over there. I would have been miserable.
