Here is this weeks commodities update. The good thing seems to be the fact that they still mention the IUP as being exhausted for January, not forever.

2005 Mustang
Exterior Sport Apper. Pkg. 29%

Interior Upgrade Pkg. 0%

Total GT 34%

There are no controls on the Interior Sport Appearance Package. We strongly encourage all dealers to order their GT allocation with the Interior Sport Appearance Package (18R).

There are no Interior Upgrade Packages (18G) left for the month of January

I would have to agree that this is good news. I believe they would just come out and tell us if the IUP was going to disappear for good. Thanks for the info Paul.

I think the ISAP should be standard on at least the GT premium.

Here's to hoping IUP will be around in February

I still think that maybe they are letting the makers of the IUP components to catch up with the demand. I think they are trying to give them a chance to make enough so that they have alittle surplus (not a lot just a little) so theat in Feb they can lift the hold for good. Then they will have enough to meet their current demand & the now newly antacipated demand for the Verts.

JMO. Nothing definte. Just what I believe they are doing from what I have read. Anywhoo.

Cheersmates.

Karpro ~ Any idea as to when they will start scheduling Feb builds?

I ordered back on November 20, with a build week of Jan. 24 (V6 5spd with IUP).

How should I interpret this statement that there are no IUP's left for the month of January?

Are orders with IUP already scheduled for the month of January, such as mine, still on track to be built as scheduled, or does this mean that no mustangs will be built with IUPs in January?

Any insight would be appreciated - I have not been able to determine this answer from all the other threads on the subject.

I wonder about that too. I was going to order my mustang in a couple weeks. Does that mean they will not let me place a order with IUP in Jan?

I just checked the "IUP Fiasco" thread - some guy basically asked the same question as I ask above on page 8 or so of that thread - no one seems to know the answer to the question of "IUP exhausted" or "no IUP left" as it pertains to orders that were already scheduled for January.

I pretty sure that anyone ordering now won't get IUP this month, but those that ordered it back in November with January build dates are wondering. Someone suggested that December's orders ate up January's - could be true.

Who knows?

Thanks- While I enjoy going thru the numerous threads, I anxiously await your weekly commodies thread. Guess the real answer will come when the first Feb build week is scheduled. Lets hope its loaded with IUP's !

My friend is getting his built WITH IUP on 1/17. Is that possible or are they going to hold it again?

I'm not sure how to interpret this. Does this mean people w/IUP who were scheduled to be built on the week of 1/3 will not get built? Or is this for order that do not have the build date yet? I'm scheduled for the week of 1/24 (pushed back from 1/10) and I'm a bit nervous.

I my speculative opinion, I think that if you got a scheduled build date before this IUP issue came out around the middle to towards the end of Dec. came out, I think were OK. I think that after this issue came out they did not or will not schedule anymore for the month of Jan with IUP. When my dealer and I called the VOPC line, it said as of Dec 9 my scheduled build date is week of Jan 24. It seems everyone after that were getting the hold delays. Just my opinion, and my hopeful and wishful thinking.
