I called the Sales Manager from my dealer today to get an update on my car. He told me that Ford is focusing on V6 models over the next couple of weeks therefore my V8 would not be picked up until at least then. He remarked on how frustrating it is for the customer as well as the dealership right now. :bang:

I am next in line at the dealership for the car and he suspects that it will be delivered in May. That is fine (sort of) because it will allow me more time to purchase my additions which will hopefully not be in the form of snow tires.

Comments? Does this sound plausible?

That sounds about right. Not to make it worse for you, but I ordered my GT back on Nov 1 and just got a build date of 3/14/05. They are so incredibly slow on the GTs because some genius at Ford thought V6s would be more popular than the GTs. On top of that, they are building convertibles quicker than the coupes.

All I can say is hang in there. I'm in week 18 and I just keep telling myself it will be worth it in the end.

Roger that, my build week has gone from 2/28, to 3/7 to 3/14. If I call this Friday and it changes to 3/21 I'm going to go buy a new pickup.

Ok, not really.

Thats great that they are focusing on building more V6 models. Soon the dealers will have to add lot space big time to hold them all. I mean V6's are backing up like nobody's business 'round these parts.
They'll get it all straightened out around the time gas hits the $3.00 per gallon mark. Maybe.
