wanted: 05-09 cobra front fascia
wanted: 05-09 cobra front fascia
what is good boards!? my name is sean and i just recently picked up my 2006 gt 5 speed. The other owner put a cervini c-series front bumper on the car. It looks pretty awesome, it is just not the look that i am going for. I really want a cobra front fascia but from the factory it costs about $2000 (head lights, radiator cover, fog lights, grilles, bumper). If anyone is parting out a cobra or swapping out their cobras front end and has some parts for me i would be EXTREMELY grateful! i would be willing to trade bumpers and the other listed parts for the cobra equivalent if that is an option. Please let me know if you guys hear of or have anything that might help me out.
Thanks!
Sean
Thanks!

It took me about two years to piece mine together lol. I bought everything through the forums / Craigslist / Tousley Ford and anywhere I could find the best deal.
I bought the front bumper w/splitter for $90 on Craigslist
Headlights / Foglights were $150 total from a very generous member on this forum
Grilles came from another forum, think I paid $125 for the top and bottom.
I bought all the brackets and foam absorber and pig tails from Tousley Ford. They have an amazing parts department.
I got all my lighting at Diode Dynamics, of course lol, and we installed our RGB multicolor angel eyes into the headlights and fog lights

It takes a really long time to find everything used, but I saved over $1,000 easily by being patient. Painting the front bumper was the most expensive
Thanks!

However the guy also states in his post that you cannot use a GT500 hood on a regular GT that still has the stock front fascia, as it will not fit nor line up properly..
I also found this out from personal experience as I was looking into getting a GT500 hood from somebody I know to replace my stock GT hood until he informed me that after trying to install it on a friend's 08 GT, that it would not fit or line up correctly with his stock GT front fascia..
You would think if your able to convert over the GT500 front fascia with a stock GT hood, then you should be able to do the same when converting to a GT500 hood with the stock front fascia as well..

You can only use a stock GT hood on a GT500 front end/front fascia !
