Just called VOPC and the ERL say "your unit has arrived at the ramp". Now I'm sitting here trying to decide whether to call the dealer or wait for them to call me. My cousin is the Fleet Manager and has been pretty good about keeping me updated but I've known the info he gives me before he does. This is gonna be a long day!

Normally I would but I spoke with a guy at the railyard yesterday who told me that if it arrived today (Wednesday), it would be loaded on the truck and headed to the dealer the next morning. I'll wait until 10am tomorrow then call.

The railyard guy said every vehicle that comes into their yard HAS to be at the dealer within 48 hours. Like I said, I'll wait until 10am!

Did a casual pass thru at noon.....no Mustangs anywhere other than the '06s on the front sales lot. Even the last of the '06 models that were in the back holding lot were gone. Rode by all three holding lots with my daughter and neither of us saw anything. Do trucks carry vehicles for more than one dealer at a time? Maybe it had a few cars for someone else to deliver first.

OK, went back by dealer this afternoon...no car. Talked to cousin, cousin called railyard, no car, railcar isn't in, can't track railcar, don't know when it will be in. VOPC says "as of June 26, your vehicle has shipped with an estimated time of arrival week of July 1, 2006". Just yesterday it said " as of June 26, your unit has arrived at ramp", and before that "as of June 22, your vehicle has shipped with an ETA week of July 1, 2006".

SIGH!!

Called VOPC @ 6:00am this morning and the ERL says "As of June 28, your unit has arrived at the ramp." I guess between this and the "your vehicle has shipped...." response I get, sooner or later they've gotta be right.

Chip, there's a ramp at either end of the rail trip. One where it's loaded onto the train, and one where it's unloaded. I would assume the new info means it's arrived at the local rail yard.

 

Yes, the carriers do deliver to more than 1 dealer at a time in most cases.

Chip....congrats!!! It's beautiful. This will be a great 4th of July holiday weekend for you.

The 3 stooges have their cars now. Too bad Bob's or mine isn't white...we'd have the patriotic colors.
