Vortec install The Netherlands

Hi guys ,

finally my car 2005 gt automatic is at the speedshop for installing the vortec HO ,i had done many threads about which to supercharger to choose ...vortec HO or Brenspeed saleen stage 2.
First i wanted the saleen ,but because Brenspeed didn't had a swiftcode for foreign banking it was a little problem also the shipping was expensive with the taxes here in The Netherlans..but have to say that Brenspeed was giving the best support so far but unfornatly i wasn't able to order there. In The Netherlands there was only 1 shop who could for me order and install Vortec for me,and told me vortec was very safe and also with the wet weather here better then the Saleen to get traction.
But my next Mustang i will buy will be tuned in USA that is much easier...
Like to thank everybody who had giving me so good advice .

The only thing i wanted to do is maybe gears 375...but vortec told me that the car has to go back to dyno ....and the superchager was based on stock gears...??? and maybe a upgrade set in the future does anybody know someting about the upgrade from vortec?????

Thanks
Ralph

Looking good! Can't wait to hear how you like the Vortech once it's finished. I know I like mine!

Great to see you did get a supercharger after all. Good choice with the vortech. Glad to see FI Mustangs in Europe.

Just past the air filter, as with most CAI's. In the pic of my 07 GT below, you can see the aluminum MAF housing clamped to the air filter, but I clocked my MAF sensor downward so that the wiring goes under the inlet tube closest to the driver's side valve cover, which keeps it hidden out of sight...

Hey Brian. Looking at your post rung a bell for me. I don't know where I heard this, but I seem to remember something about NOT clocking your MAF like you did. You might want to google around about that if you haven't already. May be nothing, but worth noting.

You are correct; clocking the MAF can disrupt airflow and lean out the air/fuel ratio if done wrong. I've had mine checked several times on a dyno since I clocked it where it is and the A/F ratio is safely in the mid 11's (about 11.6:1 average at WOT).
