Would someone PLEASE scan their 8" paint chip and post it??

I'm supposed to order my 06 tomorrow but still undecided about Black versus a questionable Vista Blue G9.

I like the Atlantic Blue on the examples above, but I do NOT like the Vista Blue color as it appears in the example on https://www.fleet.ford.com/showroom/2006fle...?Model=Mustang#

Regarding the above example on Ford's site - blah - is all I can say.

I liked Sonic Blue. I do not like Azure Blue above. That's a double blah!

If someone can mail me the chip via FedEx or whatever, I can work my photoshop magic.

I re-ordered from my dealer today and he did not have any color chips yet. What dealer are you thinking of ordering from?

P.S. - Tell Jerry and Doug Kyle from FLM says hello. I worked with JK a few years back with another company.

 

The paint chip I was talking about is at engineering, I didn't get to keep it and don't have access to it (was allowed to go see it as a favor). The order guide I have does not display colors, it just contains listings of specs and order codes.

Vista blue does not look at all like the listing on Ford Fleet (as most of the colors there don't represent themselves). It's a rich blue, slightly on the darker side like Sonic but not as dark as True Blue. You could always order it and change the color later, I'm sure Vista Blue would appear before your car is scheduled anyways. But please don't base your entire decision on what I have to say, if you REALLY want a normal/darker blue then you can "risk" going for Vista Blue but if you have doubts about it then secure yourself a good vehicle with Black. I suppose it's a gamble. I myself was very skeptical about Vista too which made me consider ordering a 2005 to secure the blue I like with Sonic but my buddy arranged for me to see Vista to silence my doubts about the color. I like it more than Sonic but I 100% understand how it can be stressful to order a car without seeing the color yourself.

First, thanks for the info. Couple of questions.

1. Is the Vista Blue you saw like the G9 blue in the attachement?

2. Could you take a look here and tell us if any of these mustang colors come close to Vista Blue?

Im thinking vista blue is gonna be a very very popular color! I just love blue cars,but sonic blue does nothing for me (just too purple looking for me) and windveil is nice but too feminine for my taste.Sure hope vista looks close to Atlantic blue... (see pic)

 

On the color sheet, it looks most like H9 (inside, no sunlight on it). Of course the sun brings out a very similar blue that sonic does when the sun is on it (violet to me only appeared when no sun was on it). Of the cars you posted, I suppose cars 3 and 7 are the best possibilities. I would say with the sun on it it's a richer blue then both though, and deeper.

 

If it was available last year I would have got it instead of the WB. The colors on the template are correct, but when it shows up on the car its reveresed. WB is Vista and Vista is WB.

 

Then why is the Windveil Blue on the 06 exactly the same color as the Windveil Blue on the 05 page?

I hope I'm wrong but my bet is on that Pastel Blue from the AM paint samples pic above.

 

I'm just MAD about E9. They call it Mellow Yellow?

I've gone back and looked and I think I am wrong about that guide....I think the others might be right about the colors being switched.

I have a feeling Vista Blue will be perfect, too bad I am already hooked on sonic and can't wait until September-October for the car.

 

I saw the 06 Book today at my dealer. In the back there is a 8x11 sheet for each color.

Ladies and Gentleman I present to you Vista Blue.



That’s right in the light it looks pretty much like Winning Blue Metallic in this light. It might be a hair darker but it looks nothing like Sonic Blue. Not even Daytona blue on a 350z.

 

That's the 94-95 Bright Blue Mustang color see here.

 

I knew it. Its AMC G9 blue.
