Vista Blue?
I found that the dupont code for vista blue, "G9". (see this thread for details http://forums.bradbarnett.net/index.php?showtopic=21588 ) I then did a word search for dupont and g9 and found that 1975 an 1976 AMC cars had a dupont g9 "medium blue" color.
Sorry for the poor picture quality. That's the way it came off of this site.

I will keep searching for better pix of 75-76 AMC cars and will post here if I find anything.

Here is a better quality picture from the 1975 AMC colors.
I must caution that just because a dupont color in 75 and 76 was a G9 medium blue and the 06 mustang has a "g9" vista blue, that I have no idea that these are the very same color. Just thought it "might" be an indication of the upcoming vista blue.
For what its worth.

My guess is it will be like sonic blue but without the "sonic" in it.
Probably a reduced color shift.
I hope it looks like the Daytona Blue on the 350Z, if that is the case, I will love it

The Sonic Blue is close to purple to my eye and windviel blue is too light. I sure hope you ar right on the color of Vista Blue for 06.
I highly doubt it'll be the same color from the late 70's....just cause they use the same number doesn't mean it'll be the same color.
When I look in out paint books at work (dealership) there can be more then one color assigned to a number.
