VIN: 1ZVFT84NX55198888 - Is that 198,888 Mustangs?
I think "theoretically' is the right word.
I wonder what Ford will run out of next in the production of the Mustang? Maybe there will be a hold up b/c they didn't order enough tires, ran out of steering wheels or failed to build enough gas pedals. Sorry to be so pesimistic, but it's a bummer to see so many people c/u and/or not able to order til 2006!!! Ford dropped the ball this year, they really could have made a mint if they had theire :nono: together.

"Nah, Ford makes it's money in Trucks and SUVs, the Mustang is just a drop in the bucket, it's an image for the company more than it is a significant revenue source. "
Unfortunately, with gas prices, Ford is losing there    on Trucks and SUVs. They need the "new" cars to save themselves.

If it is, Sweet. Personally, I like a early vin number! Even though it won't be worth any more than any other Mustang. I just think (hope) that the early production one's, got a little more attention during the builds, as everyone is still excited about them. Mine has 'almost' no issues so far. I do have the Shaker issue, but even that's not too bad yet. Only skips a few times per month! Other than that, no other noises, poping, gas fill-up issues. (Knocking on wood)

I got a real kick out of my serial number off of my VIN: 190001. Makes me feel special
I guess that's means my car (built in April) is #9000. Cool!

You'd think that after college simple math would be a no-brainer, eh? I guess that was wishful thinking. Regardless, a nice round number like #90,000 (190001 - 100001) isn't so bad either

One thing we also have to cnsider is when the cars are serialized, not neccessarily built. That would determine the VIN correct?

With the '06 Explorer getting the Mustang V8 I hope that doesn't put another crimp in delaying orders for folks getting 2006 GTs.
The last number I heard was 43 per hour on the line however the line also produces Mazda6's. every 3rd vehicle was a Mazda6. 2-10 hour shifts per day, less lunch breaks of 30 minutes each shift. Something like 539 Mustangs per day if they stick to the 2 out of 3 ratio. I don't know about Saturday either but I bet they are running full speed on days.
