Hey Guys-
RRobello (Richard) and I went down and hung out with the guys at SVTOA today, and had the opportunity of driving their road course they had set up. Definitly impressed the Cobra guys.
We also got to run stock focuses (foci?) through the same course. They were donated from Drew Ford of San Diego. Note to anyone thinking of buying a Focus from Drew Ford. Don't buy a red or silver one. We put them through the ringer today.
enjoy

BTW....That car in the video is Richard's...with straight pipes....and I am filming.

Also, Richard ran a 41 second run....hitting two cones (2 second penalty). There was a Lotus Elise there running 36's. I'd say a 3 second difference (not taking in to account the bumped cones) is pretty darn good for a $25k car.

Everyone kept their cars in 1st gear...I would say going through the first part....was about ~20mph
I could be wrong. I was filming...and when we ran the foci, we were pushing them to their limits, and not watching the speedo.

Only thing I noticed about the video, which is cool btw, is that their course cones were awfully close to some light posts with concrete bases....boy that would be terrible for someone to loose control of their car in the course and slide into one of those.
Thanks for posting that Surfn, that was way fun, too bad you didnt get the last part on there when I come to a screetching halt in between the last cones to stop oh well. I guess I shouldve had the radio off so that you could hear the car better. The pipes are stock but I had test pipes made to do the muffler delete, the cats are still on there just no mufflers, 4" outlet bullet tips. Sounds much better in person. And my best time was 40.9 sec and that was with the 2 sec penalty for tapping those cones on that one, fastest clean was 41.2, the Lotus fastest clean was 36.3.

In fact if you look closely youll find me polishing my car and Surfn is in the back ground on the phone behind his car with his trunk open and the other guy in the pic is the guy that won Best in Show, his car is the blue Mach one. Both Surfn and I tied for second place but there's obviously no trophy for second best in show
