Cool, but they ruined it by overdubbing with music. Would have been far better with just the engine sound.

 

Yeah, the music ruined it. It's hard to learn much without knowing braking points and where hes hitting the throttle.

 

I could think of a few things that would make the video better:

1) Ditch the music so you can hear the engine.
2) It would be nice to see the speedometer and the tach.
3) Since the view would go that low, maybe my hands on the steering wheel!

Besides the music. I would be a bit depressed if the best a 05+ GT could muster was 9.30 at the ring.

Then again, that is one course that illegidly takes years to master. So who knows that it would do in the hands of a regular of the ring.

She gets around the ring in 10.08 in a one hundred and something HP, 2 ton, diesel van.

 

Considering he got stuck behind other cars now and then and had to slow down for accidents, I would say 9.30 isn't aweful.

 

The track records are something like 8 minutes+, so 9 minutes isn't too bad. I sent the author a message asking if he could provide a video w/o the music.
