I agree with Greg. I do like the verts, but personally, the lines are interrupted by the top.

Big D,
Had to get the coupe. Back in 1969 my Dad bought a 69 fastback.
He gave it to me when he thought his car craze days were over.
I kept the car till 85, sold it. I've dreaded that day ever since.
Promised myself I'd get one again, but never did. So you see there is no
choice for me! It's got to be a fastback.
The 05 Mustang GT is closiest that I will get to a 69, in a new car.
Later, maybe a 69 project! Who knows!
Happy Trails!!

I actually like the more notched roofline of the convertible better than the coupe, but that's just my opinion.

I have to agree with Tim, I just love the convertible..........top up or down. Not only that but my better half wanted another vert.

I looove the top roof line of the coupe. The convertible restricts these lines to a rectangular car which to me looks much more like any other convertible.

Love them both... went for the coupe because it came out first, it's in my price range, and a vert would be useless most of the year here in Michigan (it's my daily driver as well).

A fastback with the look of the 1966 GT350 or rag top? Fastback all the way! Besides I'm in the sun enough on my bicycle.

Originally ordered a vert before there was much info on them. Once I had the pic on my desktop for a couple weeks I felt the retro look just wasn't there. Changed my order to a coupe.

I ordered a Vert, but I do like them both. The one thing about the Coupe that I really love (that I will NOT have with the Vert) is the design of the windows by the back seat. The Coupe really does capture a "classic" style.

I really would like to have a convertible but it just looks too squared off with the top down. I also live in Ohio so the weather isn't suitable most of the time.

I actually like the '99-'04 vert a lot better than the '05 vert. But I like the '05 coupe better than the '99-04 coupe. I actually don't like the '05 vert at all.

I had a tough time choosing what I wanted. All the way until the dealer asked so that he could punch in the order. I have always loved verts. My mom had a 64 1/2 gt vert and now has a 66 gt vert. But the insurance is cheaper on a coupe, the coupe costs less, it's safer, and the roof line of the coupe cannot be beat. I love them both but, I love that roof of the coupe too much.

I really like both, but for a daily driver the coupe makes more since for me. I have a Buell for my in the wind experiences anyways. If I could afford it I would have both.

I like the coupe because it has more of the classic muscle car look.

Without a doubt, fastback. Otherwise get a 1999-2004 because they pretty much look alike and you can save money. Now I wouldnt mind to have a vert as a 2nd car if my wife would have one but otherwise fastback is the way to go. Just like others have said you loose the retro look to it with the vert.

Now if Ford was smart they would produce a vert with the option of a removable hardtop or retractable top. But.....they would be just too much of a good idea and more money in their pocket. Go figure.
