Is there any way to just get the spoiler on a V6 and not have to pay the $295 for the Exterior Sport Appearance Package. i dont want the vinyl on the rocker panels, if not..anyonek now how much the dealer does it for?

No, it's a package deal, see how much the dealer is charging, if its less to go with the dealer install go that way, if not, get the appearance package and just remove the vinyl on the rocker panels.

Ford is charging $271.43 for a primed spoiler on fordaccessoriesstore.com - that does not include painting or installation.

You may be able to cut a deal with a local dealer or aftermarket shop, but going for the package may be the best way to go (you get more in the package, and shouldn't have to worry about any color matching issues or potential dealer installation issues).

Just my 2 cents.

$3555 a year for a $20k V6?!!!? How old are you and do you have a terrible driving record? I am not being nosey, but I haven't looled into insurance yet. Full coverage on my '98 GT is $800 a year. Granted, the value is not as high as what you will get, but that is a whole lotta money.

There are several spoilers on ebay for about 200.00 and some advertise that they will even paint it the color you want before they ship it to you.All you need after that is the template to mark where the holes need to be.

You want to just buy the exteriour upgrade pakage and remove the vinyl. I just had the spoiler added by my dealer, It took 7 week, cost $509 and the paint quality is just terrible. Trust me take the factory installed option, its cheaper and painted a lot better.

Yeah, what he said! How long could it take?

It should be relatively easy to remove the decal. I know we've got a thread involving that somewhere. Many techniques for removal. It would be the simplest mod you could make!

Removal of the tape stripe is simple and easy. Some have used hairdryers to heat the vinyl, but I didn't even need that. Mine just peeled right off.
