Few weeks ago, there was talk that Ford won't start producing V6 5-speed until late December.

Funny thing happened to me today.

I was driving from school, and I was passing Ford dealer, and I noticed 2 2005 V6 (blue and red). They were both automatics. So, I had to stop and take a look at them. I told one of the salesmen that I'm not interested in automatic, and he told me that he could order V6 with 5-speed and it takes about 4-5 weeks for a car to get there.

Now I'm asking you, how's that possible if Ford didn't even start building 2005 V6 with 5-speed?

By the way, they do not allow test drive.

It's not possible and you can't get a car in 4-5 weeks even if they were making them. You would be lucky to get it in the 6-8 week window.

Sounds about right, there are a lot of sales guys who might not be aware.

The V6 5-speed job 1 is soon approaching though

I know someone out there is going to take exception to that, but in my experience in talking with countless sales people in Southern Cali, not one of them has had basic knowledge of the 05! I even had one insisting that he could get me an 05 Vert in 6-8 weeks! B)

That will be November 29 from what I have heard around hear, and they are calling it Job2.

As Karpro noted, they are also raising the price of all Mustangs that are produced after Job2.

I'm looking forward to driving the V6 Mustang myself. It's supposed to be a lot of fun to drive, and the price is a lot better then the GT......

It would appear that V6 manuals will start being built earlier then expected...

My order went in first thing in June.... When Ford pulled first orders...

Dealer salesman email below with follow up phone call today...

"I just received confirmation that your Windveil Blue Mustang is
scheduled to be built the week of the 22nd of November. The order
appears to be accepted just the way we had requested without any
changes."

"This should give us a delivery date between the 2nd and 3rd week of
December. Please let me know if you have any other questions in the
meantime."

See signature for details on the order... V6 Manual with IUP!!!!!!!!
