I was just online on our dealer site and here is the latest. Order bank "officially" opens on 5/25 for Mustang. Pricing will be available in mid-July. This was also posted:

Mustang will offer the new V6 Pony Package, including 17" wheels and ABS w/ Traction Control, which will be priced at $1,195 and available on the V6 Premium Arrays. A new 18" wheel is available on GT arrays, priced at $825 MSRP. Mustang introduces two new arrays, the V6 Coupe and Convertible Standard, which will include steel wheels as standard equipment, but will have restricted option availability.

You know as much as I do at this point.

I just want to make sure I understand this correctly. If I order a premium GT, it will cost an additional $825 MSRP to get the 18" wheels, or will a credit for the standard wheels be deducted? All along, I'd heard that the optional wheels were $250 more, but I realize that was for the 17s.

Also, there was no mention of two 18" wheel options? I sure hope that the hoopla about the 18" bullitts being an option wasn't just a rumor...

When I ordered an '06 last week, in our on-line ordering option list there was no mention about 18" Bullits, just the 18" aluminum wheels.

I read a thread that mentioned the 18" bullitts had a note of late availability next to them, so I'm still hoping it's not a rumor, and when the official order guide comes out on the 25th that it's listed.

Someone else who went to a dealer also go the 64E (fanblade) and 64W (bullitt) codes in the system. Just go here to find out: http://forums.bradbarnett.net/index.php?showtopic=24618

Total there were 4 options avail for wheel, if memory serves me correct. All I knew is I wanted the 18" premium (no photos or any better description.
1 - 16"
1 - 17" mentioned painted
2 - 18" One mentioned machined (64E) and one was premium (order code 64w)

Let me seek clarification:

Will the Pony pkg only be available on the Premium V6 Coupe and not the Deluxe??

Will the Deluxe have steel wheels? What do they look like??

Good News: I just saved lots of money on my car insurance........

Seriously, tho:

I ordered my V6 from the military car sales folks in March. I had to order an 06 based on 05 options. I just spoke to the sales manager and we are meeting on the 24th to pick out the 2006 options for the order.

He has all the new options. I will post what I find out after our meeting. I am looking at V6 options, but will see if I can get some GT info, too.

He had the Pony Package option listed a month ago. Will keep you posted.
