Hello fellow Mustang lovers. As the title of the thread reads, no I don't have the 2008 order guides yet, BUT... I was sitting at the computer in the showroom, and said to myself, "I wonder if the codes are loaded into CONCEPTS for the '08 cars?" The answer.....YES!!! Here are the option codes for some of the items. First up color:

JV-Candy Apple Red
ZY-Vapor Silver

Tungsten fans, and Redfire fans, sorry to lay this on you, but your colors are discontinued now.

Next up are the few new options that I could see on the help screen when the cursor is in the options section of CONCEPTS:

51H-HID headlamps! Yes, a factory option. NOTE, you need to order 14A-Active Anti-Theft to get these.

95M-Ambient Lighting package. Same as the Focus. Different, and cool. If I was ordering a car, I may put this in the vehicle.

There was also a code for a black dash, but when I entered the code (67H) it didn't work. Maybe for the Bullitt model later in the year, don't know.

Also, there was a code for 255/45ZR18 A/S tires. This code (T5C) thought didn't come out when I had spec'ed out a Vapor Silver GT. So, don't know what the deal is with these.

Well, thats all I have right now, until I have the order guides. If anyone has any questions, feel free to shoot me over a PM. Hope this helps some of you who are looking to order a new Mustang.

To AFBLUE: Sorry Mark. I tried to spec out a GT/CS in Silver with a Spoiler Delete, and it didn't take. Sorry buddy. If that Silver GT is still available, I'd jump on it ASAP.

EDIT: Hey Mods, can you sticky this, so when the order guide comes out, I can add it to the topic?

I would have gone for a GT/CS if I could do spoiler delete but it won't take. You'd basically have a Shelby GT if it did! With the exception of the scoop that is.

Ok some questions for you.

1. Is Silver metallic (YN), Satin Silver (TL), and/or Windveil Blue (P3) available in 08?
2. What, if any, new colors are available on the GT/CS in 2008?
3. Will it take if you put a Performance White GT/CS in the system with the spoiler delete option?

I would really like to know what the deal is with the 255/45/18s. As i was thinking about getting a set, i wonder if they are going to be the BFG's KDWS? Also, anybody know how much wider the 255s are then our stock 235/50/18s?

Any info on the GT500? Such as colors combos? Is the Vapor avail with Vista stripes?

The 255 tires are 3/4" wider than the stock 235 tires. The stock 235 tires are 9.25" wide and the upgraded 255 tires are 10.00" wide.

Sorry all for not getting back sooner. I was off work Saturday (and got into an accident with the car. Got rear-ended. There's a thread for that), and I don't have access to a computer till Monday. All day Monday, I was getting Geico on the phone (other fellow's insurance), to get things moving, and getting parts ordered for the car. Last night, was sick and left work early (something I NEVER do). Answers to questions start now.

Mark: Windveil Blue is still available. Only Tungsten and Redfire went away. I can't tell which colors are available for the GT/CS. System doesn't break it down like that. If I have time later (and I don't go back home. Still not feeling well).

I did try the Spoiler Delete option on a GT/CS, and it didn't work.

Didn't see that option code on CONCEPTS. If they do another car it may be after Job #2 build. You know, with the Bullitt, they may not do another Shelby GT?

Vapor Silver is a choice. But no you cannot do blue stripes on it. I punched in a Vapor Silver coupe, and added 858 (which was blue stripes). The system automatically added ebony stripes.

That's too bad. I think that would be a slick combo. I prob would have ordered it that way. Guess I'll have to stick to white/blue.

Could not have said it better my self. Aside from my actual time constraints I can honestly say 08 options would not make me wait. Heres to 07 summer sales ladies and gentlemen, enjoy

I won't be home most of the summer, so not having it during the summer really doesn't effect my decision.

As soon as you post that 08 order guide I can make a decision.
I'm still guessing it will be out 3 days from now.

I have no clue what I'm gonna do until I see that guide.

One of these options will most like occur in the next week or 2:
-Order Silver Metallic or Vapor Silver 2008 GT
-Order a 2008 GT/CS (if it comes in Silver)
-Order or attempt to find a White 2007 GT/CS with only IUP, 3:55s, anti theft, side airbags (no GTAP or Sirius radio)
-Drive up to Philadephia and get a job 1 2007 Satin Silver GT equipped like I want


Jeff, I can always pay someone to fill the spoiler holes as spoiler delete isn't an option on the GT/CS.

Sounds like 08 changes are minimal. Not many reasons to wait.

Have the stripes put on aftermarket . Painted are better than vinyl, use Vista Blue, has a nice metalic shine
