Here are some pictures of my 05's backseat seatbelt trim pieces that you guys are talking about. I can't see that they are needed. However, IMO it gives the area a neater more finished appearence.

Page 14 of the 2006 Mustang Brochure clearly shows the part in place. (Of course, they can say "subject to change without notice" but I will point it out if it doesn't show up on mine.

If you don't have the guard on there and people use the back belt much, it's going to eventually ruin the rear deck lid cover where the belt goes through.
I would think the dealer could order one of those and have it in a day or two.

blah you would have to have 30,000 rear seat passengers before anything wears out... And if anything the parting lines on moulded plastic covers would fray the belt long before a belt would wear through carpet.

Thanks, I that's the info I really wanted
Doesn't mean I won't still try to get them to pay the $20

I'll have to check, but I'm pretty sure my '06 has these... I also have the "tone" when I get low on gas... it's more like a startling BEEP though... everytime it happens I nearly crap myself.

I'll bet that was it... It was probably a mid year 'improvement' to reduce weight and increase mileage. Who's going to get some time slips with and without to share with the rest of us??

do the 06s come with that rubber thing that makes the rear cup holder smaller? if they are worried about cutting costs, get rid of that, i threw mine out the day i got the car. and that stupid strap thing that is supposed to hold the seatbelt to the side of the seat. ditch that too, it sucks, always comes unsnapped, its not even worth using. but maybe thats just cuz im a big ole boy 6'4 with the seat back all the way.

There are probably no faces left on the pennies in the bean counter's pockets at Ford.

I can't believe they left those out, looks very cheap without them. Why would they stop putting them in?
On a side note, mine was built late 04, the parking brake chimes ever so often but not every time, the fuel chime I have never gotten low enough to hear.

My God, thanks for pointing out this major defect, I will return my $30,000.00 Mustang GT tomorrow unless they replace these $10.00 parts for my rear seat belts.

For fuel low mine has always come on at the 80 kilometer mark u can reset but keeps coming back and when it gets to 25 kilometers the fuel gage on the cluster panel stays red untill you put some go go juice in it ! I'm shocked that they would not have this in a 06 as the sealt belt bezels .

You guys and gals shouldn't be running that low in the fuel tank anyway. Isn't the fuel pump submerged in the fueltank and the fuel keeps it running cool? I was told by a mechanic not to let the tank get below 1/4 if at all possible.

In every car I've owned (7 since 1982) I have let the tank get almost empty every time and have never had a problem.I would be at the gas station way too often if I didn't let it get past a qtr. tank. I am way too busy for that, but thats just me
