Question Undercarriage PM

Been lurking here for a while and was going to order an '07 but decided to wait until spring after hearing the Boss rumors for '08. Anyway, Has anyone done any preventative maintenance to the undercarriage to help control rust? And if so what?

Thanks

Call me crazy, but I cleaned the rear axle tubes and painted them with black Rustoleum, and spayed a rust inhibitor on any other exposed metal underneath the car. Other than that I put it up in the air and wipe the underside / suspension componets down once every month or so.

It is probably a lot of overkill since it sees no rain and spends the winter garaged.

So far, not driving in the rain works pretty well along with keeping it garaged.
I'll still probably coat the bare metal stuff this winter.

I'm hoping the fact of no rain will keep in nice.

All of the above! Sad part you don't get to drive the car much, but is sweet too know the condition she's in when you do.

I put the car up on my Dad's lift, and got a can of the Rustoleum Barbeque paint. Its high-temp paint that you would use to repaint the grill for your BBQ. Put several coats on with a brush (as much as I could reach with). The rear axle looks MUCH better now. Worked real well.

I'll put lots of miles on it in the next 30 years.
Time is relative.

Don't you know ponies are scared of big green snakes. I used mine once before the Zaino and I don't know if she'll ever go near one again.

I know what you mean. I had no choice with the second encounter, the stripe install left a huge mess!

Now it's only Z-6!
