Under Hood Dress Up (polished Parts)
Just got my C&L tube and my stock throttle body polished and back on my car. It really brightens it up under the hood. I also modified my overflow tank and my power steering tank. Oh yeah, cam covers are powdercoated and back on. Still waiting on my fuse box cover to come in.

I had Oklahoma High Performance Polishing polish the TB and tube, and the overflow and power steering tanks were just painted then cleared along with the caps. I say "just painted" but there was a lot of prep time, scuffing the tanks, then all the masking. I painted them w/ duplicolor then cleared them. Here are more pics

OKLACOP, that looks incredible! Awesome job on both the polishing and the overflow & PS tanks. They look really good. If you don't mind my asking, how much did the intake tube polishing run? I'd really like to get mine done if it's not too expensive. Thanks.

The tube was $60.00. the TB was a little more expensive at $100.00 because of all of the grooves, corners, etc. $160 total and in my opinion worth it. The pics really don't do it justice. It looks so much better in person.

Hey, thanks a lot for the info. Definitely worth the money. Looks like I'll be heading to my local metal polishing shop Monday. I did a search for shops and there's actually one right in town here. I also looked up polishing techniques and it looks relatively straight forward but by the time I buy all the materials necessary and spend the time doing it I could have a professional do it and get much better results I'm sure. Thanks again!

I just dropped off the intake tube. They said about 2 hours work @ $35 an hour. Pretty close to your price. I didn't do the throttle body because I have to drive the car! I wish I had my bike but it's in the shop too! Oh well, that leaves me more for another day! I will have it back by Friday as they're a little busy right now but I don't mind. Thanks for the idea. Once again, TMS makes it impossible for me to stop spending money on my car! LOL!

I also installed the TBS with the C&L. IT's a bit tight but it all fits. The trick is to leave everything loose and move the main tube around to get the clearances you need and then tighten everything down. the three areas you need to worry about are the Coolant overflow tank, the PS reservoir and the radiator hose underneath the C&L.
I've been running mine for about a year, but I have to remove the TBS now to use the Ford Plenum Cover. I'll probably be selling it on Ebay.

Gary looks great. Really brightens up the engine doesn't it. Scramblr.................Right now the bracket isn't on my tube. I had it on there before I had it polished, but haven't put it back on. Odiaz is right, Get everything together, but don't tighten it to the throttle body. Tighten the brace bracket to the tube and cam cover first, then tighten down everything else. It does work, just has to be done in that order.
