I don't know if it is happening elsewhere, but Howard County, Md.'s police force has several black undercover GT's running around. They look totally stock except the fogs have been replaced with red and blue lights and there is a small light cluster in the back window. Otherwise these look like stock black GT coupes. I haven't seen it for myself, but I've had three seperate people at work approach me about it once they heard I was buying a Mustang.
Has anyone else seen undercover GT's?

Uh-oh, I hope no cops from Honolulu Police Department see the New Jersey car - the only reason they're not buying right now is that there is no way to mount their removable light bar due to the window seal and the wiring. There is a program here where the police can use their own private vehicles for police work if it is approved by the department. (Partial subsidy deal...) You should see the number of SN-95 GT's, Cobras and Mach 1's. (Terminators have no room underhood to mount siren, therefore not approved). There are also quite a few Z28 & SS Camaros. Have seen some 4 door G35's (2 dr. not approved) and the odd Charger or two. SUV's (truck-based) and sedans also - Japanese and Domestic. No external markings besides the obvious light bar and a small antenna mounted on a rear window. Thought I'd share that info.

I'm told that the Glendale Arizona police department are using at least one 2005 Mustang GT for traffic enforcement. Fortunately I haven't actually seen it and, if I'm lucky, I won't!!

I too live in Howard County and have seen them a few times. At first I thought it was just another mustang pulled over untill I passed and saw the flashing lights.

05BLKGT & Pittperson, where are you guys at in Columbia? I used to have a town house over by the Home Depot. We lived there for a couple of years then moved up to Sykesville where both my wife and I are from.

Ive heard that there maybe some in the Atlanta area, but have not seen any. The sheriff's car has some dark tint. If he tried to ticket me for dark tint, I would have a few choice words about his.

Seen no, heard of yes. I'm pretty sure Florida is also using them.

My wife's uncle is the chief in Howard and I meant to ask him about it at Christmas and forgot. I only see him a coupl eof times a year, but I'll have to remember to ask him next time I do see him.

Here in Mass the State Police have some Black GT's as well as a couple V-6 coupes. Funny though everytime a State Tropper passes me or I pass them they nod or wave,(Like I am one of them) Also noticed that everyone gets out of my way on the highway, they think I am a tropper coming up on them. Told my friends this and none of them believed me till they rode with me. A benefit of owning a Black GT that Ford never mentioned. Great....
