Tomorrow I am giong to pick up my 05 GT at the dealership! I went to the dealership yesturday to look at my pony and I noticed something posted on the window next to the price sheet. It says "Add Market Value $4000" and lower it says "Dealer Processing Charge $100". I couldn't believe it so I asked my salesman what the extra charge was for. This is actually how he responded "The car is just so hot." He said that everyone was comming in to look at it, it is the only car they had and "its just so hot". The salesman said that the price would be MSRP + $4100. I said that I hadn't heard of anyone getting this big of a markup anywhere else in the US infact a good majority of the 05s delivered so far have been sold between invoice and MSRP. Tomorrow when i pick it up I need to know what to say to make this charge come off when my dad gets back. He is a very good bargainer so we will see what happens. ANY ADVICE IS APPRECIATED

Here is a picture of the sticker on the window.

Did you have a written quote and leave a refundable deposit? They should honor a written quote, if they don't I would take my deposit back and look elsewhere.....

Don't buy the car from them. Tell them to stuff it! Go shopping elsewhere or wait till the hype goes away.
Don't pay that ridiculous markup! Good Luck!

Why don't you tell him that the prices were out three weeks ago and that he was lying to you when he said he didn't have a price. We know the date they came out. They blatantly lied, call them on it...

Wait a couple weeks, you probably won't have any hassle getting the car without markups. One thing to say to market adjustments ..... move along.

Which Champion Ford was this? Hwy 6 & Bissonnet?
I went to Helfman Ford in stafford and they has 2 V6's and the salesman said they were selling at MSRP. But then again he was telling my the V6's had IUP and they didn't.....

Walk away. A few weeks of waiting is easily worth $4100.

Ahhh...I just deciphered the sticker...Koons Ford of Rockville. If they're anything like Koons of Annapolis...stay away.

If you're in the Peoples Republic of Montgomery County, you're not too far from Kevinb120 (name?). He's in Northern VA. See the thread on salesman.
