ULTIMATE BUILD SN-197 GEN1 to GEN2 MORPH!

Introducing Tritchy to the world…

This is a journey of the biggest project I have ever did in a car. Many have told me to hold in this information and sell it but all I thought about is giving back to Mustang community and all S197, this information could save it from been scrapped due to aging. Every part been done myself and I did my best to note down every detail of it. Sorry in advance if I missed something or the info wasn't clear in a way or another, sure will be here as much as I can to answer your questions.

This post will be edited with added information continuously. Enjoy

Let's start with small intro on Tritchy, it is 2008 Premium GT convertible. up till 2021 it was SC with Whipple and full handling upgrades as of brakes, suspension, rear diff with Torsan in. 483 RWHP, then I thought of the next possible upgrade for more HP but this will need engine internal upgrade, will, who doesn’t love the 5.0 Coyote’s? but GEN1 engines are not new anymore and I need to think of GEN2 still every swap I saw with the GEN2 it is running standalone from the car modules and that wasn't tempting. GEN1 interior is sweet upgrade I always liked as well, with that it all started, how can such a build of both combinations can meet both in Tritchy?

To be able to do this project lots of resources are needed such as wiring diagrams, technical details and so many more, everything been collected and needed can be found here: Ultimate Mustang Project

Was it success project? Yes

Was it worth as of efforts and cost? Absolutely yes

Do I enjoy the new Tritchy drivability? You have no idea how much I enjoy it

What is the result of this project? Fully renewed Mustang with newer interior, GEN2 5.0 that can be boosted up to 800+ HP and TR6060 transmission that can handle the HP and give in for fuel eco. This project parts are connected and it’s very much important to overview it fully if you plan on doing something similar.

The next video is for everything you need to know on how to do this project:

Next part is special build on the headlights, such a project needs something special and it needed to look unique, after all it has special combinations, so here how I did it. Do you like it?

Let the game begin and let’s start on the swap of the interior 2005-2009 to 2014, Part 3 of this project is to change the interior which needed for many reasons, here is the process I made. What do you think?

Fun part of the project has started and here where the body stay at metal only, do you dare to do so? believe me, it worth it!

Continue work on the wiring, remote start installing and I 5.0 is finally here 😍 Subscribe and stay in touch for any question 🤗

Another day another challenge, I/O is what its all about, sounds not complicated?

Continue work on the different modules of the car, mix between GEN2 ECM and every other module from GEN1 (ABS, IPS, HVAC, SJB, RCM, BCM-B and others). Looks l...

Quite a Project!

I moved You out of Project Source Horse as you were not Getting Any Views! I think a Title Change to Ultimate Mustang Project as you Described in Your Post would Catch a Lot More Deserved Attention!

Good point! I think the same happens with the New Edge now. While beaters are dirtcheap, significant models like 03-04 Cobras and Mach 1 are becoming more expensive.

yes we do still love our S197's!

awesome project, I'll have a deeper look sometime when I have the time

the big question I have in my mind is, how much did it cost? and would it be cheaper to just buy a new GT500? LOL

If the financial commitment of the project requires more than what the value of the S197 Mustang is worth? then better off just selling the S197 and use that money towards the purchase of a newer S550 model

Thx for the comments. Cost for me was reasonable even I was very generous going with TR6060 with it component and GT500 cluster and dash also the remote start system, you could save there a bit. From my point of view I have power of 2017 GT and the cost from what I have to get that GT2017 to what I spent was way less, for the price to add Whipple GEN5 reaching 800+ HP where with used GT2017 I won't be yet. Why not GT500? well we all love that Shelby car but modern Coyote was more tempting to me and the parts of GEN 2 are much more easy to get compared to Trinity generation with that beast 5.8 engine.

All very valid points indeed.. As previously mentioned, as long as your not putting more money into the car than what it's market value is worth, then I agree that modding your S197 is less expensive over purchasing a 2017 and up S550 GT.. I also agree the parts for Coyote gen 2 are much more accessible compared to the 13-14 GT 500 Trinity 5.8 engine components... Just keep in mind not to expect getting back what you put into the car if you should decide to sell down the road, as aftermarket parts do not increase the value of the vehicle, but actually decrease it's value.. When it comes to potential buyers, a completely bone stock vehicle is far more desirable over a vehicle which has been modified...

Because I wasn't sure, that's why! Nor did I have any idea what you were referring to about seeing video on your IG TritchyGT350... What in the heck is the definition of IG supposed to stand for anyhow

Believe me, myself had all social platforms to support my work only, for me this project wasn't first modification as my Mustang never been stock after the 1st min when I bought it lol, but this project is something I thought it could help saving the S197 and help who love it. I get on my Instagram account the most question how to do this and that.
